If you were to live in apartment number 26 in building number 15 on Soi 1 called 'Sunshine Condo' it would be like this :
John Doe
15/26 Sukhumvit Road Soi 1
Sunshine Condo Apt 26
Bangkok
10110
Thailand
I've found sometimes that the official apartment number and the internal number for the apartment can be different. For example the apartment number '26' might be known internally within the building as room '13B' (floor 13 apartment in that case you use '13B' on the 'Sunshine Condo Apt 13B' line of the address but still use the official number on the first line of the address.
I've had many things mailed to me over the past couple of years via the regular post office mail, EMS, DHL and Fedex and it never fails for me when using this format.
They are quite good though, once I had something addressed to just the apartment name / room number and it said 'Soi XX, Bangkok, 10110'. There was no mention of the road name so it didn't mention Sukhumvit road at all but it still arrived.
Ok I looked at my lease and my apartment number is the same with the forward slash (/). Let's say I live in apartment 2214. My address on my lease is 22/14 Condo Visa 1. So I would address like this below. I don't need to put Klongtan Klongtoey in the address?
John Doe
22/14 Sukhumvit Soi 22
Condo Visa 1 Condo Apt 2214
Bangkok
10110
Thailand

I have searched and found a couple different ways to address mail to me from America. I will be using Federal Express. The format below is what I think is the best format.
John Doe
Condo Visa #214
Sukumvit 00
Klongtan Klongtoey Bangkok
10110

Here is a comparison of flooding in Ayutthaya on October 23 and November 13. Taken from Advanced Land Imager (ALI) on NASA’s Earth Observing-1 satellite. Click on the "view image comparison" to view the two images with a slider.

I'm pretty smart but become a genious when I've had a few

I just emailed the Houston Consulate a few days ago and they sent me these two documents.

I usually don't like list like this but this one is pretty much spot on. Probably because of the voters.

People from everywhere are everywhere these days. My theory is the internet. I probably would not have a place in Bangkok if I did not find my job on the internet a few years back. I would still be in Podunk TX scratching to make a living.

Planes are everywhere. You just don't see the chemtrails all the time. I was looking for a map I saw before showing actual flights around the world, but gave up after finding these two internesting links.
Here it is. It was a movie from this site.

I learned there is about 200 different ways to take care of soi dogs that try to attack you.

hahahh that's some rude behaviour, but i do agree that a person who works in 7-11 should be able to speak english. all around the world.
I read somewhere that it is even hard to find an English speaking employee at any 7/11 in the US .
Yes, they can usually understand you but it's hard to understand them sometimes.

Thai Visas can only be legally obtained at Thai Consulates/Embassies outside of Thailand.
There are two Thai Consulates in Texas: El Paso and Houston where you can apply, for example, for a double 60 day Tourist Visa.
You get 60 days on entry which can then be extended for 30 days within Thailand, then you go to a border for another 60 day stamp which can again be extended within Thailand for another 30 days giving a maximum total of 180 Days stay in Thailand.
Outside of Asia some basic paperwork and an invitation letter for a business visa may get you a one year Multiple Entry Non B Visa for some Thai Consulates which allows you to enter Thailand as many times as you like within that one year period, each time you will get an entry stamp valid for 90 days.
Ok thanks. I will get the double 60 day Tourist Visa when I go back to Texas. My bad, I figured there would be a consulate in Houston.

I'm American and will be coming in a month to stay for 4-6 months or maybe longer. I've been to Thailand about 6 times in 2 years (I work abroad) and rent a condo that's in my name. Is it better to get a 90 day tourist visa before I come? My girlfriend said I can a get a work visa for 30,000 or maybe less. She owns two businesses and knows a girl that works at a travel agent who does visas (and has connections). She said don't worry about visa..."can do when in BKK". I will have a return ticket that I can change to anytime. I don't want to get to Thailand and find out I should have done something before I entered. I would have to mail my passport since there is no Thai Consulate close to Texas. I don't like mailing my passport will do it if I have to. Thanks.....

will be 99% dudes that go along to this nudist club... think i would just head on down to a go-go bar and watch only girls geting naked..
Most of the nudist clubs I have been to are couples only so you have to pick up the go go girls first and then take them to the club.
Actually picking up a go go girl to take to a naturist resort rarely works out as planned. They don't get nude or go skinny dipping, they just site there with their clothes on texting on their phone.
Hahaha, good one.
:cheesy:

My girlfriend owns a bar in the Emporium area. The business was really bad last week but it's back to usual now.

I've seen them next to the Emirates lounge going towards the gates. I've never seen them full in the evening.

Um, most politicians in any country are usually rich.

Nice satellite view before/during the flooding by CNN.
Here is the NASA site with 7MB images you can download (also see comparison) showing before and after.

Been visiting Thailand for years. Finally got a condo (Emporium area) and will be staying for a while in a couple of months. My girlfriend owns a bar in the area.

not sure about iPhone apps, but Garmin driving GPS has a tolerance of +/- 6m. I have another Sunnto GPS and its tolerance is +/- 3m. critical enough for a above-water or below-water error :-(
Anyone else using the free elevation app for iPhone? Curious to know if it's accurate. My house is showing an above sea level elevation of 7.2m (ASL). I am about to find out if it is accurate as 7.2 ASL is about the highest elevation I could find in the area and the water just arrived down the street.
double check it on google earth... where i am is about 7.5m ASL.
I found another way (my company prohibits Google Earth). Go to Google Maps then right click and choose "what is here". It will give you the coordinates in the menu box where you search. Go to this page http://www.gpsvisualizer.com/elevation and enter the latitude and longitude numbers at the bottom of the page where is says "Single-point elevation lookup". You can just copy what Google Maps gives and paste it in the box.
BTW, thanks to everyone for the reports.

My bad, I put Condo in there twice. I used a false address. I picked 22 for the apartment number and soi ( I guess I like 22). I'll do it like this.
John Doe
22/14 Sukhumvit Soi 22
Condo Visa 1 Apt 2214
Bangkok
10110
Thailand
