Shoot in Wyoming I taught both my sons age 6 & 8 to drive my truck on freeway inside Indian Reservation just in case i had a med emergency and they needed to get me down a mountain 45 miles to nearest hospital! In Idaho at age 14 you can have a state driving license! Don't see a problem!

yes it happened to me a few years ago in downtown Los Angeles in an old Apparel Manufacuring building while working too late preparing for red eye flight to NYC. I dragged gaent bags to basement door that I could open to an electric underground garage door to open for freedom, but i heard many heavy footsteps and thought the garage could be occupied by vagrants! so i waited and listened for voices for a couple hours! After opening the door, made a dash for my Porsche dropped in the bags and pushed emergency door open button setting off enough flashing red lights to attract police then drove out to freedom! The garage vagrants were only XXXL size Rats!! 555!!!

walking stick good idea! yesterday i saw a man 60+ with two navigating down busy side walk on so pattaya road near market. you do have to avoid those walking sticks and he was moving along very good with them! might also get no ? ask when boarding a flight too!

That's really good and in BKK and I hope your spouse is well now and thanks for sharing. I had a good experience in Sisaket when my truck broke 20 km from nowhere. I tried to flag a couple police pickups that had passed but no response then one blinked the lights and me and went on. I was parked half way in the traffic lane on a busy highway. A few min later a motorcycle cop came and stayed with me for about 3 more hours directing traffic away from my truck and helping get a tow truck that wasn't big enough. Finally he contacted Sisaket main police and they sent out a big tow truck. I tried to give the officer 100b to get some lunch but he politely refused even thought he was standing on the highway from 10am to 1pm. They get my vote!

The next Ubon H3 'run' will take place on Saturday 5th April and will kick-off from, and end at, "Little Fart's" family's Thai Bar/Restaurant/Karaoke ("Amezon") just off the southern part of Meuang Ubon Ring Road, south of Warin. Your hare is Little Fart (Cameron), which means there will be at least one extra runner (me) in addition to our normal diminutive FRB* this time around.

Meet at Amezon for a prompt 4pm start. I will also pick-up at 3:40pm from N-Joy bar. After the run we will enjoy the usual circle with free beers (inbcluded in run fee) and thereafter no doubt many of us will want to hang around for a good part of the evening to sample the delights of Amezon. Little Fart has posted me this synopsis

Amezon Bar is an outdoor Isaan style karaoke bar and restaurant. Free wifi, friendly staff, cold beer, tasty Isaan food, karaoke. We do not normally serve Farang food, but will offer steak, sausages, salad and French fries at a discounted price for Hashers.

Me, I'll be looking forward to the Isaan stuff (and a lot of cold ones).

Everyone welcome, runners, walkers (we mostly have that variety - you don't have to be fit!). The idea is to follow a trail of chalk dust or something similar - walkers typically do 5 kilometres or less - with pleasant company, then have a few beers and generally socialise. First time hashers ("virgins") are especially welcome and the cost for you is an absolute bargain. More details below.

Directions for "Amezon" Restaurant and Bar. From the junction of the Ubon Ring Road (highway 231) with the Det Udom Road (highway 24) head east along 231 towards Phibun. After exactly 1km turn right (south) and Amezon is just 30 meters along the soi. See attached files with maps.

Pick-up also at N-Joy if you want a lift (or a preprandial beer). We leave N-Joy at 3:40pm prompt. N-Joy, it is at the far western end of Palochai Road beyond the City Tohsang Hotel and beyond Ubon prison.

Hashing is social 'running' and there have been hash clubs all over the world since its 1930s origins in Kuala Lumpur. The running bit is not taken too seriously and beer is drunk to oil the social side. Ubon Hash, in line with the Ubon environment is laid back and only a few enthusiasts put in a few spurts of running. The rest walk. A trail is laid, typically in white flour/chalk and the pack must find the trail, which keeps the front runners busy while the walkers catch up. After the run the beer ice-boxes are opened and the socialising begins. We usually go back for some more beer and maybe some food around town in the early evening, and some more beer later in the evening, but that is entirely optional on your part! Although hashing has been described as a 'beer drinking club with a running problem' you will find that we are not drunken lunatics and quite sociable really!

Don't be a stay at home wuss - get out there with us and discover the sides of Ubon you would not normally uncover. It's dead cheap (100B) for your first outing and inexpensive (250B) thereafter; even cheaper for Thais and cheaper again for under 17s - and the fee includes several free beers afterwards, and often a beer stop during the run.

Damm, shoot!!!, if I were 40, i'd be long gone when I found out she had two kids and a husband police. I'm 60 and do better than that after living here in LOS for 4+ years. I dislike those internet scammers, at 40, I would make a visit and find some real fresh ones, at 60 I can find real fresh ones even out in the countryside. Honest up front is 100% from both sides, if not c u l8r - never is best. Thai Kids are ok and fun to care for and I enjoy playing papa and trying to teach them good western values and ethics along the way. Good luck you need lots of it, but best to suck it up as experience and move on in real life without internet.

O'smach ( Chong chom border ) was great when it first opened but now it's a shit hole full of overpriced ( if your farang) brothels and crap merchandise from china,not even worth an hour of your time

35 km from o'smach though is the delightful town of Samrong,there's supposed to be a bus there but everyone tells you there isn't but a motor bike taxi will take you for 250 baht , there's not much there after dark nightlife wise but it's a touch of real Cambodia, nothing like the crappy ripp off infestered border
