Been searching for a place to print 30x40 (A3) photos and was quoted 300-400THB per picture which seems pretty steep. Has anyone here come across a place with reasonable pricing for large format printing? I am based in Phuket.

Is it permitted to apply for 1 year extension right after 60 days extension or does one need to leave the country and obtain a new Non-O visa in between two extensions?

It is a known fact that genuine tourist can be denied entry to South Korea with no apparent reasons. There are quite a few reports when Thai nationals with proof of income/legal job/property/booked accommodation/return ticket/you-name-it were refused entry and forced to go back to Thailand (with some pushing and physical force involved, too!). Now my wife has booked a return ticket for a 5 day vacation in Korea, and I can't go with her. She is a housewife and a day trader, no kids or property, which makes her a candidate for interrogation. Any ideas how to confront the immigration officer should he/she decide to send my wife back? Demand a letter of refusal? Any possible legal actions?

Good day.
Can't figure this out: the local rental company offers SLDW (Super Loss Damage Waiver) insurance with their car. Does it typically include TPL (Third Party Liability) insurance? Or it's an extra? Or no such thing here? In other words, if I hit another car and damaged it, who pays for the repair of that car? Thank you.

Tywais, do you happen to know anything about those GSO Dobsonias on Thaiexcite? Are they any good in comparison to Orion Dob telescopes?

I suggest you download xbmc on your computer and give it a try first (follow one the many instruction videos on the internet to setup). You'll understand exactly what you'll get with the TV box and test if your internet connection is any good for streaming videos.

Not to start a new topic... Could you please advice the best solution. My Non-O expires on Sep. 17. I put the money for extension on July 16. Is it possible to come to Immigration office (CM if it's important) beforehand, say, Sep 5, to apply for a year extension with the bank papers dated Sep the 5th as well? Or does it have to be 16/17 Sep?

You can apply for the extension during the last 30 days of any of your 90 day entries from your visa.
Dear ubonjoe,
when applying for the extension based on marriage I can choose any day within the last 30 days of my visa validity or it has be precisely 30 days before it expires? Just got my single entry non-o and need time to open a bank account and deposit the money. Thank you.

+1 to cpbkk with some edits. This agency is called Udon Keaw Tour, the same limousine company that takes you from Udonthani airport to Friendship bridge.
When you enter Thailand, ignore the first wave of large song-teaw and taxi drivers and keep moving forward to the beginning of the main road. You'll see small motorbike tuk-tuks and drivers. Tell them "Udon Keaw Tour" and they'll happily deliver you to the office (40 THB). Important: see the schedule before you go, the bus leaves at 3PM and 4PM, after that at 5:30PM.
Good luck.

I've got exactly the same issues with my Wave. One thing I managed to solve for now is the loose rattle sound - you need to tighten the chain case, any mechanic can do it for you. As for the engine issue after idling, staff at Honda suggested I try to use Gasohol 95. Needless to say, it didn't solve the problem. Will let you know once/if the solution is found.

The Honda Wave — also marketed as the NF series, Innova in Europe, and Supra in Indonesia... That may help finding the manual.

Could someone recommend a certified language school in JJ/Mo Chit area or anywhere along the way from Rangsit, where I'm staying, to JJ? Thank you for any tips.

I've been back in Bangkok now since December and I've been driving around quite a lot the last few months. During my last trip to Chaeng Wattana I had a good look around Don Muaeng, Laksi, Vibhavadi-Rangsit Rd, Bang Sue and a few other areas but couldn't see any of these big water protection projects that the government has promised these people anywhere!! Does anybody know of any projects that have started? Or was this all a big lie again?
There's some construction work going on around Don Muaeng - Rangsit area, looks like concrete road walls along the pavement. It's half a meter tall, maybe that's got something to do with those projects... Sewers are being (cleaned?) here and there but half-an-hour rain still result in an ankle-high water in some areas along Vibhavadi-Rangsit Rd.

You might be supprised but it's still common among Russians to bring USD50-100 for personal expenses when travelling on a package tour. Turkey is the reason, with all that "all-inclusive" services offered. The second issue is the principle: I paid for it and won't back off, period. The Russian airlines already confirmed they will not charge the "trapped" tourists for the return flight (should they have free seats). Hope it all ends well with the hotel too. Truth be told, the majority of Russians in Ptt earned a very unpleasant image, so ex aequo et bono the nation should expect same attitude in return once in a while.

Find fresh squeezed pomegranate juice practically anywhere in China Town.

Hey guys, can't go back to Rangsit where my lodging is so looking for a dry spot around JJ or Mo Chit to stay till it's all over. This area is on the floodwatch list, how does it look atm? Away from the country and not able to check myself. Should you have any ideas about a condo complex in the area with internet connection, please, fill me in.

A random printing shop close to Chalong roundabout, with a Kodak sign. Or online at photobookthailand.
