  1. I live in BKK, filed my 90day report online at noon today

was approved when I checked at 8pm

I came back from Burma at Tachilek in January

stayed in same Pattaya Hotel 5 times this year, they file TM 30s for me

I never ever filed a TM 30 in BKK

So as long as you don't have to go to Chaengwattana, it seems OK

Curious what happens, when my retirement extension comes up in December

  2. forgot to report online or by letter in time

so I went to Big C Ratburana on Wednesday Jan. 3rd about 2pm

Office moved from front ground floor to center basement

no sign about move on the old closed office

almost left without reporting but luckily somebody told me where it moved

new office basement is hot and messy and there were 100s of mostly Burmese migrant workers

when I picked up my queue ticket the guy told me to go to Chaengwattana next time but still gave me a ticket

I prepared for what looked like a 2-3 hour wait

but the 3 officers worked incredibly  fast and I was done in 30min

I won't forget to report online or by letter in time again

  3. if the reservoir fluid level keeps going down and there is no external leak the missing fluid can only be in the rubber bellows

after a while it will split again when there is to much leaked fluid

most likely the rack has to come out to replace the leaking hydraulic seal

might be cheaper to get a good used rack from one of the many salvage shops

in BKK they are located between Soi Chulalongkorn 9 and Banthad Thong Road west of Chulalongkorn University

    GPS coordinates 13.738416, 100.523541

  4. I used them to ship stuff to Germany several times:

DSV Air & Sea Ltd.3195/12 7th floor Vibulthani Tower 1

    Rama IV Rd,

    Klongton, Klong toey

    Bangkok 10110 Thailand

    Tel.: +66 2 684 8100

    Fax: +66 2 684 8198-9

ask for economy/consolidated air cargo service CIP to closest international airport in UK, much cheaper than direct service

THB 111/kg chargeable weight plus various fees to Germany

was THB 43000 for 330 kg last time

chargeable weight is 167kg /m³ or actual weight if heavier

  5. I use a Brother MFC-J415W printer/fax/scanner/copier with large aftermarket ink tanks for for 2-1/2 years

    no problems at all

    http://welcome.broth.../mfc-j415w.html

the big advantage of Brother is that the large in tanks slip right into the original slots

no ink feeder hoses like those needed for canon

before that I had some HP printers, OK with original ink tanks/head, plenty of problems with refills

Epson, plenty of problems, never again

  6. it is perfectly normal for a refrigerator to emit heat

after all it's a heat pump

pumping the heat from the cool compartment inside to the environment outside

this process involves a phase change from liquid refrigerant to vapor

otherwise it would be impossible to pump heat from a place cooler than the environment

    thanks to Carl von Linde

in fact any heat pump, fridge, A/C emits about 3-5 times more energy by heat than it consumes electricity
