Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin announced yesterday his intention to submit a plan designed to address the issue of PM2.5 fine dust within a 90-day deadline set by the Chiang Mai Administrative Court. The court order followed a formal complaint lodged by a northern network of individuals, requiring the Thai prime minister and the national environmental panel to draft the plan. PM Srettha stated that officials would be brought in to discuss and draft the plan as per the court’s directive.

The 61 year old PM also reported significant progress in improving Chiang Mai’s air quality since various agencies across the nation began addressing the issue.

“We have done our best, and the PM2.5 fine dust level fell by four to five times.”

About the fine dust level, government spokesperson Chai Wacharonke stated that the level in the Chang Phueak subdistrict of Chiang Mai’s Muang district was recorded at 16.7 microgrammes per cubic metre on Sunday. This figure represents a substantial decrease from the average of 53 microgrammes per cubic metre recorded on January 21, 2020.

  3. I had a Samsung with one year general guarantee and 5 years on the motor. The motor went out after 4 years and nothing but trouble from Samsung. Trashed it and bought a Hitachi and have been very happy.

We have a Samsung for only 2 years and only used it maybe 30 times, because it is in our holiday house. Stopped working today. I have an LG in a condo for 10 years now, and still working great every day!!!

  4. Need to buy a clothes washing machine (closest emotion I have to a washing machine) Looking at large capacity, around 10-12 kg, and wondering if anybody has any advice. Went to Siam TV and seems Iike there's a bunch and the price mainly corresponds to where they are made. Think the ones with one compartment for wash and spin looks most convient and will just line dry as before. I don't know much and don't know if there is anything I should be aware of or of there is a especially good place to purchase etc. Any useful recommendations will be rewarded with one load of free washing (delivery not included)

we bought 2 years ago a new Samsung laundry machine for our holiday home in Phetchabun. It is hardly used, maybe about 30 times. Today when we arrived we wanted to use it again. But NO. We get an errorcode, that the door is not closed, but that is ot true. We opened and closed it many times without any results. So we called the Samsung service centre, and they informed us, that somehow the software of the machine is broken. They have to send a technician to look into that, how is that possible with a rather new machine. Maybe Samsung is not so good as we all believe.

  5. You do not understand anything about this country and their people. Go home and find your "designers" there!!

Could you elaborate on what I don't understand specifically? That what I had to witness was somehow "normal" for Thailand even though I never witness the same from old Thai men?

Would you just start sawing wood with no plans when building a kitchen? That's what designers do...save you money from having to tear your garbage down. I suppose you live in another "version" of Thailand? One with a pension perhaps?

No, sorry to disappoint you, but i am in senior management here. Working together with many thais, both male and female for many years already.

So again, go back home and write down your stupid comments on a forum of your country. You have no idea, what the culture is here in Thailand. Maybe you should ask " your lawyer and designers"
