I bought the Electrolux ESF6010BW on Lazada. It holds place settings for 8. Stainless steel interior, makes it own hot water, auto soap and rinse dispenser, as well as a built in water softener. Great unit--very quiet. Bought it on Lazada for 12, 400 baht!

Why Do you think that life in Cambodia is more pleasant, or cheaper?
I have been to Cambodia twice. I really liked Phnom Pehn. However, it is much more costly to live there!

I love living here. It does get frustrating at times, but life is great in general, I love the climate, and at least we don't have Donald Trump here!!!!!

Smokers are the most rude disrespectful people on the planet. Why should non smokers have to breath your toxic smoke. You blow smoke in the faces of others and then throw cigarette butts on the ground and into the sewers. Have you ever noticed all the cigarette butts on the ground in Pattaya that have to be cleaned up by others. It is a totally disgusting useless habit. Props to the Lion Pub for actually enforcing the law and banning smoking. Other places need to do the same! Other countries around the world have banned smoking years ago--Thailand is just catching up.

The Thai government should institute driver education and driver training free in every high school in Thailand. Require actual training in order to get a driving license for motorcycle, car, truck, etc! Enforcement of the laws would also be helpful!

They have parrot cages north of Bangkok Pattaya Hospital on Sukumvit left side heading toward BKK at pet shop!

My experience with Ford service has been terrible. Isuzu would be a much better choice and I think much cheaper with better service!

Electronic game drivers tests? How about providing free driver training for all students in the schools like they did for me when I was a student. Why would you expect drivers to know how to drive safely if they have never been trained to drive?????
-
Last time I looked there was no driver training instruction for any of the students in the schools. I would suggest the Thai government start that immediately. And how about removing the rental bikes that take up every motorbike parking spots on beach road?

As a young student in the USA, we were taught in school not to liter. That stuck with me all my life and I think with most other Americans. I would suggest that Thailand do the same with their students and the public. They need to do ad campaigns promoting "Keep Thailand Clean" This would be especially beneficial in beach resort towns. They should also pass laws against littering, including cigarettes. Providing more trash containers would help the cause. They could make a lot of money writing out fines until everyone starts to get the message. And while they are at it--they should start free drivers training (classroom and behind the wheel) in all the high schools. This would help make Thailand a much better and safer place to live for everyone.

What a horrible holiday which creates danger for all. This nonsense goes on for more than a week in Pattaya. There should be clearly enforced rules and limited hours when water can be thrown on people. No buckets of water period. It is so dangerous to ride a motorbike in Pattaya during Songkran. It would be interesting to see how many people who live in Thailand leave the country during Songkran!

Most of them don't seem to have the first clue what the road laws are anyway. The me first mentality and I am Superman, I can drive in any condition, at any speed seems highly prevalent.
You can expect a lot of accidents deaths when you have a country that does not require driver education for the population. Driver education should be taught in all the schools like in other countries! Most street and most of the soi do not have speed limits. Asking for disaster and getting it daily!

Don't be stupid--the price of everything is more expensive in Cambodia than in Thailand, and they will charge an unbelievable tax if you try to bring it into Thailand. Buy and Honda, Yamaha, Kwasaki, built in Thailand--the only way to fly!

As a retired educator from the USA, I would love to be able to sit down with the powers to be in Thailand and have a discussion on how to improve the education system. Who could I contact?

What color? Does it have ABS? How many km? Price?

I have owned many makes of cars in the USA including Fords and Hyundai. All the cars I have owned have given me good service as I always took care of them. I am not sure if the Ford's in Thailand are made to the same standard as the USA, but I do know world wide Ford is doing very well. They were the only American car company that did not need to be bailed out by the government several years ago. My friend owns a Ford Focus for 3 years now and not had any issues with it. The use by the previous owner might have something to do with it, but 1,000,000 miles on a car is the norm I think, before you are going to have to stick money into it. Car's are machines and will wear out.

I have lived in Pattaya 3 years and love it here. I live near the beach and am walking distance to anything I want or need. While some American products are expensive here, it its still much cheaper to live in Thailand. With True Vision I am able to watch the same programs and sporting events I watched in the USA. No thoughts of going back!
Phuket tourism going down the pan just like Pattaya: Few tourists and much worse than last year

There are many things that have impacted tourism in Thailand. However, it is clear that the one thing the Thai government can address is the value of the baht. Thus far, they have decided to do nothing!
