  1. When I apply Thai 'philosophy' and laws of karma to this whole story it seems to me that it's just not meant to be that the people of Thailand and all others who reside here in one way or another are supposed to watch EURO 2012! Live that is. Tomorrow morning I will get up and make myself a cup of reasonable coffee and watch the highlights for about 15 minutes because that's all the time I want to spend on watching the good old footy these days and anyone who is older than 40 will know what I mean. Football is not what it used to be. Probably the final will be between Germany and The Netherlands and will end up being a shoot-out of penalties again and Germany will win, as usual....so boring, who cares. Good night, I'm away out for a soapy massage

  2. This is ridiculous!!!!!!! If you google search Paddypower the Irish Bookmaker...click to there page and register for a account... you DONT need to give cc details or fund the account just register and make a username and password..they will send you confirmation email..once done you just sign in and watch all the games live free and in English commentary...<deleted> to Thai commentary-ENJOY

here's the Thai governments answer when one tries to go on Paddypowers site: http://w3.mict.go.th/
  3. the BMA decision to award a Bt190billion contract to BTSC: how much of this is going to disappear into the big pockets of those involved as usual? It's so funny how the city of Bangkok can spend so much money on these luxury problems(and make all those involved a lot richer than they already are at the same time), because that's what it is! Who cares that it takes 5 minutes longer for the train to arrive because of a bottleneck in the track?

Wouldn't it be better to spend this money on improving waterworks like klongs, dams, sewage, etc and tackle a real problem? I forgot, they prefer ignoring real problems and focus on how they can 'eat' as much money as possible

  4. I've been back in Bangkok now since December and I've been driving around quite a lot the last few months. During my last trip to Chaeng Wattana I had a good look around Don Muaeng, Laksi, Vibhavadi-Rangsit Rd, Bang Sue and a few other areas but couldn't see any of these big water protection projects that the government has promised these people anywhere!! Does anybody know of any projects that have started? Or was this all a big lie again?

There's some construction work going on around Don Muaeng - Rangsit area, looks like concrete road walls along the pavement. It's half a meter tall, maybe that's got something to do with those projects... Sewers are being (cleaned?) here and there but half-an-hour rain still result in an ankle-high water in some areas along Vibhavadi-Rangsit Rd.

There are indeed a few small and meaningless projects going on around town but the state of the art engineering projects that were going to make Thailand look like Japan have all been forgotten it seems until the river is flowing through peoples living rooms again. Do Thai people never get fed up with their leaders/governments promising them a better life and never delivering it? Why do they wait until the water is waist high again to complain about it? It baffles me

  6. hahaha, maybe he's the Singaporean dude in question dry.gif

This made the Thai press a few days ago -- apparently the woman called him in Singapore late at night and told him it was all over, whereupon he flew to Bangkok and committed the crime, stabbing the guy 17 times -- fairly impressive long-term rage.

Well he may have flown back to try and talk her out of leaving him,

got to the apartment, heard noises agonized, hemmed hawed,

and got more upset, finally decided to confront her.

Then the shouting, and bike racer gets in his face.

No saying who HAD the knife, or if it was in apartment kitchen.

A 'drift bike racer' will likely be a Muay Thai guy too and definitely an adrenalin junkie, So no problem jumping in and being very aggressive.

Too much for a SingP salary man to deal with, so he may have grabbed

a kitchen knife in self defense, suddenly realizing he's in over his head.

In any case they are soon in a knock down drag out fight, a knife is produced

and rage carries on past simply surviving/winning.

I suspect from what's stated above, he has a reasonable case for crime of passion, it doesn't say he just jumped in with a plan to stab the guy.

In any case wifey's got blood on her hands, lives ruined and ended

because she wants her cake and to eat the pastry delivery boy too.

I feel bad for the Singapore guy, he may have snapped,

but she put it all in motion.

You watch far too much CSI.
