It seems that travellers cheques are getting less favourable now with less places to change them. what else out there is there to use save leaving money in the hotel bit dubious with the top up travel cards there seems to be hidden fees with them, what ones do people recommend if any.

I know its a long shot but is there such a thing as HSE at work in Thailand have a friend who works in a office and a few people are getting sick due to the the AC not been cleaned for over 10 years. Is there a government organisation that could be contacted or is it behind the times with HSE at work.

If you have a UK licence (photo card) you don't need an IDP to get a Thai License.
Thanks but the minimum I will need will be the IDP as my UK license is only for the EU
-
Before I got my Thai driving license I showed my DIP several times and the officer obviously didn't know what it was. So no problem. I think that the DIP is valid for 6 months; if you have an accident after that time then your insurance won't pay.

From what I have read the permit is valid for a year and it can only be used for a maximum of 60 day's for one times use if that makes sense

Are IDP's still valid to drive with in Thailand I have a full UK license I have heard that the Police are no longer accepting the IDP's if they decide to tug you. Do you need to take your IDP to the DMV to get a Thai license now.

Hi,
You are talking about a scene in maybe 100 seafood restaurants in Bangkok, so it would be hard to pinpoint without seeing the deleted video. I think the most well-known one is the Seafood market in Sukhumvit soi 24. Drive along the soi until you see a huge neon sign - cant miss it.
That's the place. Keith Floyd went there as well on Far Flung Floyd.
Did you see it on the TV also is that the place I am thinking off do you know the name at all
-
I have seen this place on TV "Rick Steins SE Asian Odyssey" in the UK its basically a sea food restaurant that you buy the food like at the super market and the chefs there will cook it for you I know it is in BKK and thats it it is simple eating place no thrills.
