am i missing something or just as green as grass? why dont you pig farmers have your sows produce the piglets? then you would now there quality if only one of the piggeries on this forum produced there own piglets other farmers on here could buy them knowing there getting good quality, not wanting to rattle anyones cage is my idea pie in the sky

youre better off raising them in concrete ponds the wifes dad does it in concrete ponds you can change the water more often and keep an eye on infections and can see if youre overfeeding plus its easy to seperate females when there ready to lay there eggs, as for a wholesaler try ob ob frog farm there on the web, cost to build concrete ponds is about 4000 bt

well its another day in paradise im sitting on the balcony with a cold one [beer that is] and watching the world go by, the motorbike taxis are are clapping there hands at anyone who walks by trying to drum up some work. Last night was a good one started off at the heartbeat bar they have a live band and some very pretty girls who love a chin wag so i had a few mig lights and then off for some balloon hunting. found a bar covered in balloons it was a girl called kois birthday plenty of dancing loads of thai food yadda yadda i then started to crave a bit of coyote dancing so off i goes to a bar on the 3 road and into a coyote style bar and got a little star struck with one of the dancers trying to tell myself just leave it mick youve got the beer goggles on, when this girl finishes her dance she plonks herself on the stool next to me and we get chatting and drinking turns out her name is lucky before i know it im dancing with lucky in the bamboo bar its tequila slammer time and i feel like a teenager again. end of the night get some food off a barrow pad ka pow moo and back to the hotel arrange to meet lucky later on. Now for the bad news my wife is trying to arrange for her surgically enhanced sister to chapparone me on my trip, now her sister is a bit to touchy feely for me as when shes drunk shes the biggest flirt ive met, im lucky theres a wedding going on in her sisters village that will keep her busy for a few days, now im as red blooded as any man and her sister would temp the devil himself but its a no no her sister has broke more hearts than valentino shes got a five bedroom pad paid for by a dutch guy who works in saudi and more plastic in her body than an airfix model. what would get you into a bar would it be good looking girls and a cold beer or would it be pool tables and darts and good food, do you like a good band or is a disco better or that dreadfull karioke tell me what gets you into a bar

im at heathrow waiting to board the a380 to dubai then on to bangkok, cash on the hip ready for a bit of bar buying the wife has to stay in england as we cant take the kids out of school and my partner is looking after the firm while ive got a 3 week pass going to start off my search in the nana plaza in bangkok if any one wants to meet for a beer ill be staying at the grace hotel then further reasearch in pattaya ill base myself in the buffalow bar on 3 road opp soi linki to top up my research to see if coyote dancing is the real deal then rent a pick up and off to hua hin to look at a couple of bars then finally off to khon kaen to see the now famous go bar and a couple of others that are up for sale then back to bangkok to get ready to fly home if all goes well i could be up and running in the next few months

oh it breaks my heart to see the pound is so low against the thai baht i can remember the giddy heights of 70bt to a pound 3 to 4 years ago, or the asian crisis a decade ago when for a short while you could get nearly 90bt to a pound. i keep reading in the papers that the thai goverment might cut intrest rates which would improve the exchange rate but nothing has happened yet. oh how i crave a strong pound so i can get more bang for my bucks abroad

firstly i live in korat province a place called prathai if you use route master it says 77 miles 1 hour and 40 mins so following number 2 road i can do it in 1 hour 30 mins or less depending on how many lorries are on the road. secondly i did research the bar on the net how did i know it was for sale if i had not i tried trip adviser and google.

now all i wanted was for some input from people local to the bar. the reason for buying a farang bar was to have a bit of company with fellow farangs instead of counting teeth in the village plus id ave the perfect excuse to have a beer, if the bar pays for it self and my regular slurp ill be happy maybe theres a pool league or darts in khon kaen i can get involved in dont get me wrong i like a little bit of village life but not all the time. come on lads wheres the spirit you have to take a chance now and then and as for the price of the bar if i pay 50 satang or 50 million baht it would of cost you zilch and people who live in khon kaen would have another watering hole that wouldnt be turned into a knocking shop but would have attractive bar staff because that is what gets me into a pub back home oh and roast tatties on the bar on a sunday chok dee

nocturn i have been coming to thailand for over 15 years i have a thai wife and 2 children we have a house in korat i have a buisness in england that im looking to sell to my buisness partner as ive had enough the bar would be a hobby for me and would keep the wife busy we live just off the 2 motorway we are about an hour and a half if the traffic is good from khon kaen, i could send my pal from saraburi to have a look but i didnt want to put him out i thought id ask the old wise heads on here

dear nocturn i havent parted with one satang yet but i have learned a lesson this forum is for mickey taking and general naysaying. i was hoping i would get comments like i pass this bar everyday and its allways empty or its allways full, or people might know the owner and say hes having a hard time and needs the cash or say its nothing but trouble the police are allways there. now what would say on here if i did just up sticks and go and look at the bar youd say you shouldve researched it first because if i just upped sticks and went id be 3 to 4 grand £ down
