A 20' container will cost you about AUD3,000 not including packing in Aus, handling charges in Thailand and taxes.

Stayed there in May. The hotel has seen better days. The restaurants aren't bad but I wasn't overly impressed. Staff are great. We were meant to stay for 3 nights but we checked out a day early to stay elsewhere.
Saying that the price is good and the added benefits make it worthwhile. Worth it for a couple of nights

Here in Hua Hin, it seems to be the foreigners that don't wear helmets and drive drunk, and the Thais to use their phones when driving and go through red lights.
Thais that I know in Bangkok rarely think that there's anything wrong with driving after drinking and being way over the limit. Must be different in Hua Hin.....or are we just blaming foreigners for all things bad.

I didn't tell anyone. Self isolated at home and tested every few days with ATK. After 2 days of negative tests I ventured out.

1 hour ago, Tropicalevo said:There is a problem with Test and Go. (According to some of my guests)
You go to the hotel for your one night quarantine.
They test you and say that if your result is negative, you may leave the next day.
They do not tell you if you are negative. You hear nothing. They only tell you if you are positive (and the men in their little white coats come and take you away ha ha).
Day 2. You wake up. Wait for a while, hear nothing so go to your next destination believing that you are negative.
You are not fleeing, you are just going where you said that you would go. This was the case of the other six 'absconders' from quarantine recently.
The problem with the Test and Go system is very poor (or absence)of clear communication.
I was told my test was negative 6 hours after and was allowed to leave if I wanted.

Medconsult are very good. It's who I used last month but I'm told it's a lot busier now. Make sure you register online to speed up the process

I used Collinson for the PCR test when I was leaving the UK 2 weeks ago. They were an absolute nightmare and didn't send me my test results. Needless to say they haven't replied to my emails.

The reserve is reduced in each auction by 10% and buyers often wait until the 3rd or 4th auction to get a better price. I have dealt with this situation before, although as a buyer, and would be happy to give you any help I can or pass you on to the lawyer I used.

I was cycling through Chinatown 2 days ago and a lot of the shops are still open there. Obviously not giving a hoot about the law. I saw numerous gold shops, shops to buy phone accessories, sunglasses and trinkets. The police were walking around taking no notice as usual. I wonder why that is?

I do this every year, fortunately I go back to the UK each year and the process is simple. All you need to send with your passport is:
1. Application form
2. Fee
3. A copy of your child's birth certificate (with your name on it as father).
4. Marriage certificate. I was not married to my child's mother so I send the legitimization papers and the custody papers.
As I understand it the age limit is either 20 or 21.
Hope that helps.

Have you thought about Sanam Luang 2 market?
It's in Thonburi and I have 2 cats, 1 parrot and many fish from the place. All are in good health, the parrot is now 2 years old.

I'm looking to buy an African Grey and cannot fine a good pet shop in Bangkok. I won't buy from JJ market as diseases are rife there.
Thank you

Thanks for that Samran, may I ask how you know this as I'm getting conflicting answers. Also the UK passport was issued in Thailand, surely if someone has a passport issued in Bangkok they would have to use it to go out if they were Thai but without a Thai passport.

My 15 year old daughter has a UK and a Thai passport but the Thai one has run out. I cannot renew until her mother returns from overseas in December. Previously she's always left Thailand on the Thai one but now she needs to leave on the UK one which is 2 years old and has no stamps in it. Has anyone any experience of this, will there be a problem at immigration?

Many thanks, that's just what I was looking for.

Last year I renewed my dependency Non-O visa (I have a daughter) by showing Baht 400,000 in my bank account which only needed to be there for a day. I'm now told it's B500,000 and needs to be there for 3 months. Can anyone shed some light on this please?
Automated phone call translation with Samsung S24 Ultra
in Mobile Devices and Apps

I have the S24 Ultra and have tried the translation on phone calls and it's absolutely terrible. Not even close to what was being said just random words. No doubt it will get better but it's not usable at the moment. Screenshots attached
