I was able to transfer $50,000 and close my Bangkok Bank account in 2018 at the main Pattaya branch.
Also was able to transfer funds back to US prior. They required on the form used for the transfer a Routing Number not a SWIFTCODE. Possible that has changed, but also as suggested try another branch.

Just setup a transfer from my CU to Bangkok Bank. Two small deposits were received in my Bangkok Bank account. Next month I plan on doing a larger transfer. My only worry is what will happen after Jan 2020. I also have my SS going there by Direct Deposit. Established thru the US Embassy in the Philippines. My CU is Harborstone. I also have an account with Global and had a transfer account until about 9 months ago.

I received the following email from US Embassy in Thailand:
Message for U.S. Federal Benefits Recipients:
The United States Department of the Treasury now offers direct deposit of federal benefit payments, including Social Security Administration (SSA), Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), and Office of Personnel Management (OPM), to banks in Thailand. The payments are automatically converted to Thai Baht (THB) at the international exchange rate before they are deposited in the account. U.S. dollar payments are not available. The United States Department of the Treasury does not charge fees to make the deposits. However, Thai banks may charge fees.
Direct deposit is the safest, most convenient and reliable method of receiving your benefits. The payment is electronically transmitted to your bank account and you have immediate access to your funds by the payment date. There are no delays, including missing and stolen checks.
You do not have to do anything if you are currently enrolled in direct deposit. Your payments will continue to be sent to your current bank.
If you wish to sign up for direct deposit or switch your direct deposit arrangement to another bank in Thailand, please contact the agency listed below.

Tue, May 7, 7:51 PM (3 days ago)to meSir,
Thank you for your inquiry.
To have your benefits deposited to a local bank account in Thailand, please complete the attached Form SSA-1199 “Direct Deposit Sign-up Form (Thailand).” Please make sure that your account is in Thai Baht (THB) currency. An account in U.S. Dollar (USD) currency is not acceptable.
After completing the Form SSA-1199, please scan and email it back to us for our processing. It will take about one or two months for your new direct deposit arrangement to take effect. Please do not close your old account, if any, until you confirm that payment has been received at your new account.
Thank you.

Yes, but it is $199.99 for the season which includes playoff games and Super Bowl. $179.99 without playoff and Super Bowl.

So, if I need a 100 baht bank draft for mailing by Thai Post. The total cost will be 250 baht!
-
Received email from US Embassy stating they will no longer accept cash (either US or Baht) at there Outreach Events. You must get a Bank Draft in advance made out to " US Embassy Bangkok" from Bangkok Bank, Kasikorn Bank, or Siam Commercial Bank for services. Also you must have a separate bank draft of 100 baht if you use Thai Post to mail back your passport. They will still accept cash or credit cards at the US Embassy in Bangkok only.

NBC Sports has live streaming of all Olympic sports with VPN.

I have never found any stable live streams on Kodi. The on demand stuff is great, I can watch in full HD with instant start up. but live TV is another issue.
That is why I wanted something for CNN USA and Scince Channel, Hustory, etc.
just as I am typing IP guys has became stable no buffering in full HD but it goes from one extreme to another
I have 100 mb. Down and 30 up on 3BB fiber .
Check out http://jsat.tv/. The IPTV package has plenty of UK & US channels.

The Big Bang Theory isn't on UK Netflix.
If you use a VPN which lets you swap servers - or better still, a smart DNS service that lets you set your location to different countries - you can access all sorts of different stuff on Netflix. There's a useful website that tells you what's available where here - http://www.filmefy.com/
Thanks for the info.

The Internet infrastructure here in Thailand is not strong enough to support Netflix. South Korea, Japan, Hong Kong and maybe Taiwan, yes, but not LOS
BS.
I have no issues watching Netflix through a VPN (either from Europe or the US). I imagine it'll work just fine without the VPS as well, especially if the servers are located in Thailand. Furthermore, the infrastructure is good enough to support HD ipTV, so Netflix will do just fine as well.
A couple of months ago I used a VPN server out of Singapore and was able to excess Netflix from the UK. I was able to get the TV show "The Big Bang Theory" which is not available on Netflix in the US.

As described in the Web link, these are ACH transfers from your home bank to the BB NYC branch. It is simple to do. My bank uses the Moneylink system and ACH transfers are free but many of the the big US banks are now charging a fee for ACH transfers. If they do I would change banks. We are not talking about wire transfers. The process is relatively painless, the biggest challenge was getting the trial deposit amounts from BB which were in THB in USD some the confirmation amounts could be entered in my US bank website.
My credit union in the US has the same process and transfers are free. The customer service (1333) people at BB were very helpful and gave me the THB transfer in USD.

Check out this website http://www.kickoffstreams.com/ for NFL games,NFL Network, ESPN, FOX Sport 1, TSN, ESPN U, plus ABC, CBS, NBC and more for only $9.95 a month, but you must signup by 30 Sep to get the $9.95. (Regularly 12.95).

I find if you're just streaming video, a proxy server works better than a VPN.

Forms 1099s from SSA were mailed out on the 31 Jan. This means your form will not arrive here until around 21 Feb. I just received a 1099 from another gov't agency it was mailed on 20 Jan. You won't be able to apply for a duplicate form until 1 Mar.

Maybe just try BT-Chat or even Torrent-Finder?
I can get to eztv and tpb on True DSL in Bangkok.
I have 3BB in Pattaya and have been unable to get eztv and tpb for the past 3 days. If I use a proxy server or VPN then I can get them, but download speed are greater reduced. Also when I went to witopia.com it showed that my IP server was in Chiang Mai and not Bangkok.

The last 2 days I've been unable to connection to EZTV and PIRATEBAY using 3BB server, but when I use VPN(HongKong) it connects with no problem.

Thanks for reporting back on the thread, appreciated.
so, you're ready to remove that clamav now, i guess
No, though I might remove "Lastpass".
-
i would have emailed the clamav people instead
it's like asking "hey, are you a terrorist my good sir?"
Hi urandom,
Went to clamav.net and tried to report the threat and read the following message:
"Please do not report false positives for PUA.* signatures because they are automatically rejected (What is PUA?)."
Greg

If you have or get and Android box try Kemo TV (https://kemoiptv.com/) 6 months for $25, 12 months for $39. You can order up to 4 years, but I would be cautious about. 27,00 They have over 17,000 live TV channels, over 27,000 movies and over 1600 series.
