  1. Thanks for the replies. Will soon get serious about selling.

You might have more luck selling on baht and sold rather than thaivisa classifieds, I've just sold a pick up,had 7 serious buyers on baht&sold and none on thaivisa, placing a ad is easier as well, good luck!!

I'm not familiar with "bhat and sold" but will give it a try. Is it a website or what?

    Yes mate, google it...

  3. Don't laugh it's the UK:) but I still think compared to the utter selfishness and recklessness I see on a daily basis over here, I think my kids are better off there.. Don't want to derail the thread, but after living here twice it's just my humble :) opinion

  8. I have one myself and am very happy with it, why are you selling?

After carefully thought we've decided to move back to the UK, we've got a 3 year old and a 1 year old, we both just feel the kids will be better of in the UK, if no kids we would stay.

Gutted to see the car go though, I did a lot of research before buying and think its a better ride than the Ranger and I like the looks on the outside and it kicks the Rangers arse on interior design.

  11. Hi all ,were thinking of moving down to Ban Chang from Petchabun, we're down there this weekend for a recce and to try and find a 2 or 3 house on a moo Baan, a swimming pool on the estate would also be preferable, any recommendations would be appreciated, our budget is 15-20k per months, many thanks in advance for any replies.

Did you find a house in ban chang? We have just moved back to pattaya. See my earlier post, our old house is available from now.
No ,we moved to Bang Sarah instead, thanks for your help though.

  12. Petchabun has some great riding, definitely around Kao Kho and near Tung Salaeng Luang just over the border on the Pitsanulok side. I'm sure you'll be able to find good singletrack up in them thar hills. Dry as hell though from February onwards.

Unfortunately Wichianburi is an hour south Petchabun city, it more dirt tracks through the paddy fields there is a mountain range but no paths or tracks going up it, I'll check out Kao Kho when I get time, do you know if there's any bike clubs up there, i aminterested in maybe competing in a xc race, just for a laugh mind you.

  13. I was bidding on a couple of secondhand bikes on the U.S eBay site, was gonna pay $450 shipping and then be at the mercy of Thai customs and there dodgy ways once the bike reached los

I can understand that. Very difficult to find a 21.5" frame in Thailand. Did you check out chainreactioncycles.com? If you wait until after Christmas, you can probably get significant reductions on some bike models and the shipping is definitely below $450.

I just wish the part of Petchabun where moving to had a bit more single track and hills, then I'd had have a excuse to get the full suspension.

You could build a dirt jump ramp in your front yard to have an excuse for full suspension. :)

I am quite happy with FS. Allows me to ride down the local hills in Chiang Mai with greater confidence. The trails are sort of rough here...

    Cheers, CM-Expat

I tried chain reaction and wiggle, chain reaction wanted 250 quid postage, wiggle £89 but like I said before mate, your at the hands of that honest bunch Thai Customs, not worth the grief, better to buy here or bring a bike in when you land and walk it through swampy..
