What little I know about Bangkok Bank's 3 services concerning 12-month bank statements: An unofficial method is to order a statement from the BB app. This method is quick and easy. The unofficial statement arrives in 5-10 minutes via email. Customers can order the free statements in Thai or English. I ordered both. Note: This is the method I used as I did not get the official statement via a BB branch in time. I printed out these unofficial statements and had the pages stamped at a local branch. It worked at CM Immigration this go-around! An official method is to go to a branch and order the same statement (basically) via email. This takes a minimum of 24 hours turn-around time. I believe that Immigration will accept these without any further stamps. Note: I did not use this method as I had ordered the official email statement the previous morning, and yes, it did not arrive in time for me to get started at CM Immigration the next day. Another official method is to order a hard copy statement and I believe this can take up to week. I would just remind people that in any of these cases you need to order a statement that dates back to at least the ISSUANCE date of your present visa extension. In some case this might be more than 12 months previously, thus you need to head into a branch to get this completed. The app statement request only allows a customer to go back 12 months or less. I say less as I could only go back to 01 February and not mid-January where we are today. Luckily I had ordered a 12-month statement in December. I used both statements even though they overlapped. I hope that makes sense.

Update: January 2025 I completed my latest 1-year extension at Chiang Mai Immigration with 22 days to spare. Most of that experience was the same as listed in last year's notes above, but I will add a few new notes here, mainly concerning the mandatory bank information needed: I arrived just before 07:00 AM and basically had to knock on the window at the guard shack to get a queue number. This is the very first step EVERYONE must do when they arrive. Get a queue number at the shack with the x-ray walk-through machine. The shack is between the large Buddhist shrine and the coffee shop in the right side of the car park. Volunteers show up between 08:00-08:30 so I went back to my hotel to eat breakfast. These volunteers do a pre-check of your paperwork so it is a good idea to get sorted before your queue number is called. I discovered that in my situation that I needed to have a transaction listed in my bank book within the past 7 days. Even though I had updated my bank book the previous day, it did not have a relevant transaction listed. I had done a 100-baht transfer that morning in anticipation of this so I was not too unhappy when I had to head to the bank. The banks are all closed at Central Airport Mall so I hopped on a Grab motorbike and went to the Thapae Branch of Bangkok Bank. They updated my book and were kind enough to make a copy of that last page for my immigration needs. Do not forget to make a copy! The previous day I had received a Letter of Guarantee from my branch in another province and I had ordered an official bank statement which I was told would arrive via email the next day. In anticipation of not receiving this in time I had downloaded the previous year's bank statement (beginning at date of previous visa extension application) and had the copies stamped at the local branch. These were accepted by Immigration and I was watching them when they checked off the stamps at the bottom of the papers. I received my extension by 10:30 and was reminded that I had to go back to the guard shack to get another queue number in order to get my Multiple Re-Entry permit process going. I only had to wait 15 minutes or so before my number was called. I had the Permit and passport in hand by 11:30AM . I would call that a good day at Chiang Mai Immigration. Note: I would guess that I was done by noon due to the fact that I arrived very early for a queue number. If I had arrived later I probably would have had to come back after Immigration's obligatory lunch break from Noon-13:00. Don't forget to get a copy or two of your NEW extension stamp as you will need it for your Re-entry Permit processing. Copy shop behind the building or across the street: 2 baht per page. Good luck!

Hello and suwasdee khap! 5 of the cutest puppies ever up for adoption in Songkhla / Hat Yai area. These 6-week-old pups are part of a litter (2 out of 7 have already found a home...YAY) from our faithful soi dog. Khao (White) is a great mum and has been taking care of them inside our car park for 6 weeks. 4 females/1 male. The puppies are now eating solid puppy food and drinking water from the bowls. They are also mostly potty trained by peeing on cardboard in a corner. Good job little pups. We are unable to keep the puppies so are hoping to find forever homes for them. They are all very friendly and ready to play. They adore adults and children. I could meet you in Songkhla/ Hat Yai area or meet half way for truly interested parties within a reasonable distance. Now it's time for prayer! Please help by adopting or asking someone who might like to adopt. Thank you! Side note: We are trying to do our part in helping out with our local soi dogs. Papa dog was neutered last week and mama Khao will be spayed in 3 weeks. Puppies can be neutered/spayed at 5 months of age. Good luck! P JB

nglodnig - Thanks for the positive comments. 😁 My previous visa before this application was good for 13 months due to my application timing. The Immigration Officer was very helpful this go-around when he sent me back to the bank stating that I needed a Bank Account statement dated back to the Granted date of the previous visa which was pretty close to 13 months earlier. I thought they only needed a 1-year statement but I was proved incorrect!

My task: Non-O visa 1-year extension (from previous 1-year extension / 800K option) with multiple-entry stamp. Rental agreement with Tabien Baan. (Some of these may not apply to your case). I cannot provide information about other processes such as first-time requests, how to do TM-30 etc. This is a 2 step process in which you will first receive your Retirement Non-O visa which upon receipt will then allow you to visit the Multiple Entry counter to apply for the multiple entry stamp (if desired). Preparation notes Print/collect/download/sign applicable forms/documents listed below. Google Thai holidays as you may be in for a surprise on "that" one day you need to visit immigration. Bank documents: There are 2 forms you need from your bank, a certificate of the bank (signed by bank official) and a 1-year bank account record (does not need to be signed by bank official). My bank (Bangkok Bank) charged 100 baht for these forms. NOTE: The 1-year bank account record request gets sent to Bangkok and takes a MINIMUM of one day to return by email or one week via hard copy. Steps/Notes Pre-processing Ensure you get proper queue number at security guard shack! Be prepared to tell them exactly why you are there for a proper queue stub. Suggest arrival time 07:00AM. Go to exterior area to the left under roof to get organized and await queueing instructions. See volunteers at table in the rear to get organized . Treat them kindly as they work for free. There is sticky glue available on the tables to attach your photos to your application(s). Gather any required forms near table in the rear of this waiting area. Read any queue stubs closely as they might contain counter # information. There is a copy shop located behind the Immigration building. There is another shop located directly across the street in the silver shack in the middle of the parking lot near the rental car company. https://maps.app.goo.gl/axjxW2RWuXh33gHa9 TM-30 office is located behind the main building. Letter of Residency office 2nd floor, right side of building. Rest rooms located behind and to the right of main building. Coffee shop on site. Await your initial queue number to be called to the window. Non-O Processing (1 hour or more) Head inside to appropriate counter with queue stub. Make payment. Await verbal announcement for digital photo. Await return of passport. REMEMBER TO CHECK THAT YOUR EXTENSION DETAILS ARE CORRECT. Mult-Entry processing (30 minutes or more) Go directly to Mult-Entry counter. Make payment. Await verbal announcement for digital photo. Await return of passport and CHECK DETAILS. BE KIND TO PEOPLE IN YOUR PATH. ____________________________________ Forms/documents to bring to, or collect at, Chiang Mai Immigration (BRING A BLUE PEN OR TWO!): Checklist Available at CNX Immigration.
