Edward Bernays, (Nephew of Freud.)
Documentary series, "The Century of The Self."
To sell products, popularize people or ideas, he changed world views and twisted conventions. With his numerous PR campaigns, Bernays modernized the PR industry and promoted a consumer culture of emotions in which people buy or believe what makes them feel good.
To understand modern politics and culture it would be most helpful to view the above mentioned docu. The Century of The Self."

Is anyone in Chiang Mai having trouble with 90 day reporting online?
The site will no longer work for me.
-
Johnb121257 reply is most correct. I have addressed this issue many times in the past for posters with the same problem. Yes, it can be mitigated but at a substantial cost. Triple pane glass, double walls, floating floor to name a few. Not cost effective unless you simply love your location. A 50% mitigation is possible at some cost. If your current situation is making your life miserable and you do not wish to go the distance with costs then make another plan.
PM me if I can be of further assistance. Best regards.

Worst case scenario: May or may not be required.
At the discretion of the the Consulate a DNA test may be required.
This is an expensive and time consuming procedure as it must be done
at an embassy approved facility in the US. The "chain of custody" applied
is as follows: Samples are collected at the Consulate by an approved
Thai hospital staff and witnessed by the Consul General and staff.
The approved Thai Hospital sends them to the approved US testing facility.
(You choose the approved US testing facility from a provided list or link.)
After testing the US testing facility sends the report directly to the
US Consulate where the samples were taken. The Consulate will inform you
of the results. Hope you do not have to do this. Best of luck.

My 1966 TT Special. Made for flat-track but easily put on the street
back in the day. Over the years fortunate to have had many bikes
but this one was a favorite. 1997. Cost. $1,267 out the door street legal.

CM, last week. Very specific: 4 pictures, two per-page (2 pages, two copies, 4 pages total)
One must clearly show the house number outside with wife and husband in the picture. 3 pictures inside, wife & husband together in all pictures. 3 different locations (rooms) in the house. After 16 consecutive extensions I can say CM is getting very specific and detailed with there requirements, some of which you will not be aware of simply reading the immigration website.

Customs duties when Importing items from overseas has always been somewhat confusing.
Just a note: I see this (below) on several off-shore buying sites and on domestic sites
when you purchase or are considering purchase and shipping. Is this the new normal?

CDB Oil. From CNN paid content section Web....Monday, July 2, 2018. Rather confusing.

1. Why is International Airmail no longer a flat rate of $4?
We recently adjusted the rate charges (see rates below) for international airmail. The price you see is the shipping rate that we are charged by the carrier, based on the shipping weight, to have an order shipped to your country. In the past we have subsidized these rates and charged a flat fee. If your order is over $20 you will see an extra discount on your shipping cost, so your shipping rate can be as low as only $2.00. Even with these shipping rate changes, we still offer the best overall value for orders over $40.
Up to 1 pound = $4.45
From 1 pound to 2 pounds = $8.90
From 2 pounds to 3 pounds = $13.35
From 3 pounds to 4 pounds = $17.80 -
Please: What is the proper address to send to 90 day report by mail to in Chiang Mai?

The problem here has been solved:
Right here in Thailand applying Thai logic

Rigo29,
First consider the application, that is, what do you want to use the mic for.
Podcast, recording instruments, voice? It is very important to match a
mic to its primary intended use.
General purpose, as mentioned the Shure SM57 and SM58 are the standard
for vocal (58) General purpose (57) You can not simply plugin a LowZ, balanced
XLR into your computer. You will need an interface.
As mentioned, yes, those two grey or sometimes gold plated
podium mics attached the the Prez. are Shure SM 57's.
USB mics have come a long way but remain inferior to higher end
dynamic or mics. Today there are a few very good USB mics, I believe
Apogee and Blue are two.
Check this site: www.proplugin.com They deliver but not COD.
Have bought form them for years. No problems.
Ask them about your application and the mics they may recommend.

Looking to get the heat out of the attic in anticipation of summer.
Installers say the "Whirly Birds" will not work due to my type of roof construction
so this points me to considering an attic drafting fan.
Any TV members have experience with this?
Your suggestions always greatly appreciated.
