  1. I admit not to having read the complete thread since my initial reply, but it sounds like there may be more than one issue here, and one that intrigues me is the stopping with the large guy onboard, since its not a crushed fuel line how about the the seat being compressed onto the filler cap breather hole? I had this many years ago on a Triumph cause by a tank bag and when the engine was gettinf 'starved' od fuel I just lifted the tankbag to clear the problem! When the bike refuses to star, lift the seat and perhaps remove filler cap and then try and start it. Good luck

  2. Check fuel line is not crushed when weight is on the pillion, is the engine turning over but not starting, if that is the case i'd go for fuel or loose wire, however if the bike is carb rather than efi(2012 should be efi I would think) the bike would start with the fuel left in the float bowl. Hondas are very reliable in general especially something as new as this, wish I was over there and not in London to give you a hand! When sorted please post what thhe problem was, ps; have you tried any bike forums for ideas? All the best.

    Dave

  3. Why do you want a 'superbike'? all the locals ride small and every 'tinbasher' knows how to fix them, more up to date questions/answers can be found and asked on www.horizonsunlimited.com and good luck on your trip, and one big tip...TRAVEL LIGHT!. A friend of mine is buying in I think Maylasia a small Honda Wave and is travelling around SE Asia for about 10 weeks. Enjoy

  4. Its progress.. not perfect but progress. I am amazed.

Agree, 1000 baht is a lot of money for 300baht per day wagers.

Also he did plead guilty and as per Thai justice system penalty is reduced

1000 bht is a joke, If it was the jet ski operator, do you really think he is on 300bht per day? His ol' woman could go on the street and turn a trick for the 1000bht, I agree its a start but they have started with comedy first.

  5. Heck don't bother keeping them. Just give them a death sentence.ermm.gif

Ah......such is the compassion and understanding of human frailty.

You have no idea what drove her to this and her life is now destroyed.

Perhaps deeper thought of the overall problem is deserved.

It's easy for people to mouth off about death penalities etc, Was there not cases in South America where cartels were threatening to murder families if one of the family did not traffic the drugs for them? How does anyone know that this is not the case here?
  6. Yet another case of no crash helmet, I ride all year round in the UK so it is fair to say I am into motorcycles, Whenever I travel to Thailand and also in a couple of weeks to India, I will, as usual take my own helmet.

I had taught to me the importance of crash helmets the hard way, my father was killed when I was 5.5years old on a bike with no helmet.

Thais often get a 'bashing' over riding skills etc, but I would rather be on the road with Thai riders than many of the tourists, I am sure that many have possibly never ridden a pushbike , let alone a motorcycle.

Any death is tragic, but please don't increase the chances by not wearing an helmet, even if you think you don't look 'cool'.
