  1. Airlines will let you on the flight, but it's their policy to inform you about the legality of the overstay without the proper Visa. Airline ticket counter employees will need an override from a manager on duty who will verify that the airline will not be legally responsible for any faults if the situation arises. They will further note their computer systems and notify the authority of the matter. If you are paranoid that they won't let you on the flight just buy a budget airline round trip ticket on Nok Air or Air Asia to a neighboring country as proof you will not be over staying. You could also try purchasing a bus or train ticket and printing out the docs as proof. I hope that helps you and we'll see you in Thailand.

  2. That's a very good question. From my experience, CDMA phone by Cricket inc. would not be a good candidate for use outside the United States. CMDA phones are built around a spectrum very popular for efficiency. Cricket and MetroPCS lacks Sims cards making it less attractive for the Asian market where sims enabled phones are vibrant. There's more on the topic but I hope that helps you out. Feel free to ask any more questions.

  3. Sorry forum members. I had typos mixed up with customs and immigration. i APOLOGIZE. The OP has pages missing and maxed out his stay. Doesn't that sound suspicious. What were on those missing pages? Maybe more red stamps or worst. OP didn't mention anything in his original post about what was on those missing pages.

  4. Base on your situation you are screwed. The new computer algorithms used by the Thai Customs to red flag visitors of overstays and red flags have now become an annoying pop up on their screens. I would try a neighboring country like Laos to sort out things with the Thai Embassy and trying to enter by those means. There's people their that can be of great assistance. ;).

  5. I tried it last year when I flew into Bangkok but immigration wouldn't entertain the idea. At the time I only wanted to stay in Thailand for about 1 week before going to Cambodia, so I didn't want to waste the double entry visa i had in my passport.

I tried asking them to just stamp me in for 30 days and ignore the visa, but no, the visa got activated. The woman didn't even listen to me.

But it's worth giving it a go, you might catch one of them on a good day.

There's an appearance factor clause. If you look like the Ya Ma ( medicine for horses ) addict you can forget getting any slide. Show respect, greet in Thai, smile and be professional. Best regards.
  6. The Laos Citizens are of no harm what so ever around the perimeter of the fence of the embassy or the city of Vientiane. One thing that many tourist fail to realize that they are cheap and paranoid. Do a power search on google or thaivisaforum for any related scams at the Vientiane Thai Embassy. Non found! What use is your passport to anyone in Laos? Toilet paper! They are out there to provide a service, value to the tourist wanting a visa. The have a new word for Farangs. Kaw Naw meaning sticky rice. Sticky with their money. There's better hacks and ways to go about getting a single or dual entry Visa. If you paid attention there's students doing their homework at the cafe across the street. Guess their homework assignment? It's to calculate what a foreigners time at the Thai Embassy is worth.

  7. Here's the most frugal and almost always a guarantee way for a dual entry visa. Buy an airplane ticket in advance on nokair or airasia to Udon. Depending on where you are flying it should not be more than $100 usd round trip. Don't waste your time taking a bus service or train. Take the limo service $7 usd right in the airport, the service counter for the purchasing the ticket is right in front when you walk out the departure exit. The van drops you directly at the border where you stamp out of Thailand. Purchase a bus bridge ticket for .75 usd to Laos. Get off the bus and head to window 1 for Laos entry documents. Here's a trick and a hack. Those 3 guys seating on the right on the table in front of the atm machine are volunteers working for tip. Let them fill out the forms and hand it in, this method will push you to the front of the line. Cost for a Laos visa $35 usd, 2 months stay. Please don't forget to give them a tip. Here's the tricky part. Once you pass customs. Here's a hack for free food and drinks before 10 pm sun - thurs, 2 am fri-sat. Make a u turn but stay on the perimeter of the fence next to the Duty free store and head to the casino. Play a little slots or roulette and enjoy the complimentary food. Here's the most important hack Call your Laos assistant in advance. They'll automate all the essentials: transportation, hotel, dual entry visa, and lots of other things. The assistants saved me 75% living per day compared to daily living cost in Thai. Good luck and let me know how the journey goes.

This is a suggestion to stay in Laos for two months inbetween. Right? That's a good suggestion, asI still need to see North Laos and all of the South.

Do you mean to call the Laos assistant to get a Thai tourist double entry visa to go back to Thailand afterwards? Did I get that right?

Thanks a lot for your advise

    Claudio

Personally I would rather stay in Laos for 2 months or the whole block of vacation. Get away from the usual tourist that make the typical scene in Asia feel exactly like back home in the United States or any developed country. When your Laos Visa expires there's no need to be panic, the Freedom Bridge is accessible late and a u turn when you get to the Thai side will get you another 60 day stay in Laos. You can get as many Laos 60 days visa as you want so don't panic because they wont red stamp anyone willing to spend money in Laos. But you want to visit Thai? Let the Laos Concierge arrange an hour or 2 boat crossing to Thailand to cure your hunger for Pad Thai or any other things Thai. You want to stay in Thailand for 120 days no problem. The concierge will also handle the arrangement for the single or dual entry visa . All you have to do is go get a nice freshly cut coconut and head to the Thai consulate to watch the other foreigners get first degree burns waiting to get rejected by the Consulate. Don't be like Mike and follow what others do, let the concierge take care of those pesky annoying things, besides spending the whole day in the hot sun to find out that the line cuts off at the person before you, you did not get approved, or they have not returned your passport. You've not only wasted a day waiting, you probably wasted 2 days. 1 day for apply and another day to wait to get your passport back. Don't be a cheap butt because how much is 72 hours of your time? If you need more help. Please feel free to ask

  9. Next trip to Asia do what other farangs don't do. Why do what every typical tourist does and get pick pocketed by inflated prices. If you want to visit all the places mentioned as top 10 on the search engines. STAY IN KANSAS! What's the difference between Bangkok and any metropolis. Not a dam_n thing, it might even be far advance than Detriot.

  10. So I deposit 1 million bhat in your account and you transfer me $2 million bhat in paypal, but there's a catch. A few days later my paypal account is suspended, account is negative $ 2 million, account information needs to be verified. Here's the deal if you want to do it. I'll take your paypal debit card and withdraw the amount you wish for and take a 30% fee.

  11. Ask and you should receive. I don't see any problems with obtaining a 15 land or 30 day air visitor visa at any Thai crossing. I've personally done it a handful of times. Border officials are very nice and done to earth. I have nothing to say about US Customs and Immigration who will refuse entry on a twitter feed. Have fun and keep us posted.

  12. what about the Police making it easy to report Taxi drivers who refuse to take you onboard by running the meter, ONLY by a set fee? There should be a number to call to report the taxi AND the police taking action against him/her. But like everything else you can whistle in your somtam for that to happen.

I agree with you totally! Being a native born Thai Citizen and having the cab drivers pick and choose what fares they like or don't like is frustrating. Doesn't help when you're all be yourself and the place has dim to no lights.
