Only currency in the world that doesn't drop like a stone when there's a military coup, or the country goes to war.

Unfortunately the way society has gone, ask most young people in UK what they want to do when they finish their education & the boys say footballer or gamer & the girls influencer or Vloger, none wanna get up & do a days work. We've bred a generation of lazy gits. I, like most my age, started work at 16, here I am at 58 still working my butt off, only way I know how to earn money.

Nothing stays the same, you have to change with it, or move on. I moved to my current location in the London suburbs 21 years ago, it was deemed a middle class area, 21 years on, it's no different from the area I moved from. I first visited Thailand 16 years ago, it's a very very different place these days, some of the changes are for the better, but most are not. Will I still retire there, who knows, I'll revisit that at the time.

Didn't we read on here months back that whole Russian families had taken over Phuket & were booking hotels & condos for 3-6 months at a time, escaping the war ??? Now it's legal, no need for boarder runs.
