  1. I dont drink alcohol and take tramadol about once a week but recently stopped taking it at all.

Mostly wear short pants / tshirt when going out so its not an issue with clothes. I have been in thailand for many years and never had this issue before.

  2. Hi,

Did any of you get botox injections to prevent hyperhidrosis in central bangkok?

Lately i am sweating uncontrollable from my forehead and i am at the point where i dont want to deal with that anymore. I read a lot about botox injected into your armpits but haven't found much info about scalp injections in thailand. It seems common in Australia and the States but thai clinics dont have much info about it.

I was about to inquire at the iSky clinic and see if they are able to do that.

What kind of price can i expect? Is 20.000 - 40.000 baht an accurate estimate? I got insurance but i doubt they will cover it.

Please share your experience, i want to get it done asap.

  3. Go the ED Visa route. You can get a single entry ED visa and apply for a multi re-entry permit at the local immigration office afaik.

You can also do the 30 day thing. I did this for about 14 months ( 2009 - 2010) including the occasional overstay of a few days. No problems.

How did you end up losing 3k? Did you prepay 12 month's of rent in advance? Where did you rent? (apartment/condo name)

  4. Hi,

I spend a lot of time indoors in an air conditioned environment during the day. When i walk outside to buy some food or something, i start to sweat extremely. I am not overweight or unfit. Never had this problem before either, it pretty much just started about 6 months ago.

Since then its a real pain for me just to go downstairs to grab some stuff at 711 or buy some food.

Could that be anxiety related? I also took tramadol for around 2 years because of a injury - could that be the cause?

What is a proper way to treat it?

  5. Used to live on 150k - 200k / month when i got to bangkok years ago. Things have changed a bit since and now i live comfortably on around 60k/month while i manage to put 60-90k / month in my savings account. Sometimes you go shopping, get a new girlfriend.. so my monthly spending and saving varies a bit.

    15k rent

    20-30k food

    2k gym membership

    2k electricity

    2k true vision

    1k phone

    1k internet

    Thats about it.

  6. Hi,

I missed to go to suan pluh, so i have to get my re-entry permit at the airport somehow. As far as i understand it i can get it after i check in, but where exactly do i find the immigration at the airport? Do i have to be stamped out first? I remember paying overstay fines at the airport, but that was after they stamped my passport and in front of the customs check.

Also my flight is around midnight (23.55) - is that a problem?

Do i need to bring anything else beside my passport and a picture?

  7. You can just create a new itunes account with an US address. I have an US itunes account and have my kasikorn debit card added to it. Works like a charm and you get the best of both worlds.

Edit: Just checked, my address is totally fake and doesnt add up to anything. Just country is set to US. Dont sweat it, the thai debit cards without a name on it usually work with any country/name combination.

  8. Sam Winter is famous around the ladyboy bars in nana plaza. Not for his "research" but for falling in love with ladyboy prostitutes and paying for their operations. I have yet to see an unbiased article from him. Its a shame that a family man and "researcher" abuses his power and position over the girls. IMO its just another try from Sam to get in the limelight. If really 50% are infected, then ask Sam why he continues to have sex with them. It doesnt make sense.

This post by WebBKK123 ought to get the attention of moderators. A forum participant, protected by anonymity, makes very pointed accusations against an academic with a well-established and published track record in the field of transgender issues - http://web.hku.hk/~sjwinter/general/

I have no idea if the accusations above have the slightest merit, but whether or not they do, surely this is not the place to allow them exposure.

I doubt its a secret. Sam seems to be pretty open about what he does.
