Now that we have completed about 1/4 of the LPGA season, it's time to take a look at the players that have made the biggest leaps and taken the biggest falls in the Rolex Rankings this year.

With the LPGA taking a one week break before resuming its schedule in Hawaii, I thought it would be a good time to do my fourth LPGA player profile.

Although the LPGA has completed only about 20% (7 of 34 tournaments) of its 2017 schedule, I don't think it is too early to take a look at some of the ladies that have been the biggest surprises and biggest disappointments of the year so far.

Lexi Thompson was informed that she received a four stroke penalty as she walked off the 12th hole on Sunday at the ANA Inspiration.
An email was received by LPGA officials from a viewer about a possible rules infraction during the third round.

The second round was suspended due to darkness and will continue Saturday at 10:30am ET. Golf Channel will cover the completion of the second round live.
Half the field was able to complete the round.
The cut will be established after the completion of round two, and the players will go back out for round three. They expect to be all caught up by days end.

This week the LPGA moves to the state of California for the playing of the Kia Classic. Lydia Ko will be trying to defend the title she won last year when she finished 4 strokes better than runner-up Inbee Park. Her -19 under par total was one shot off the tournament record that is held by Cristie Kerr.

After a one week break, the LPGA resumes its schedule this week with the playing of the LPGA Founders Cup. This will be the first of 3 consecutive tournaments that will be played on the west coast of the United States, and will include the year's first major championship.
