Was looking to buy a new Car/Suv & have looked @ the Yaris cross Hev & looked at some reviews etc but would like to hear firsthand from anyone who has got one about how it is
I Don't care too much about power etc as I know its not a powerful car but I drive a lot of km so more interested in fuel consumption & reliability etc

Hi
My Daughter who is Thai needs a new Thai passport as her one has expired
I presume we can get from the Thai passport place in Central shopping mall ?
If so do we need to book an appointment or rock up anytime to apply
She is going overseas on a school trip at end of February so will need to get her a new passport

Yes you can.
Personally, I transfer 130k every month and transfer it few days later into GF,s account.
Nice one that sounds like a plan as I transfer more than 100k every month but into our joint account so will possibly start to transfer into my own account then onto joint account after as been using an agent for the retirement extension for the last 2 years
-
Hi Yes
I know I need to show a years transfers as I was thinking of setting up the transfer now for doing it in the future but just needed clarification if I can transfer then use the money for monthly expenses etc
-
when I go to get a 1 Yr extension of stay on my Retirement visa ( had 1 for 2 years now ) I have used an agent in the past but would like to do it myself but use the monthly transfer method ie 65k per month into Thai bank with my name only
Question is can I transfer into my bank the 65k or over then immediately transfer it again into myself & wife's joint account for her to get access for monthly living expenses etc or is there a set time it has to stay in the account ?
Regards

Hi
I'm wondering if the monthly income method for retirement extension is OK using an online bank ( wise ) or does it have to be a thai bank , I believe you have to show 12 months of statements of 80k or over which will be no problem to me if online bank is OK

I have 2 valid passports as I need for work ( have so I can have 1 passport away getting a visa for a country & still travel on the 2 nd one )
I work offshore so travel & work in different countries around the world

I have just recieved my 2nd uk passport ( concurrent passport ) I will be renewing my visa later in the year & am trying to find out if I can enter Thailand visa exempt on my new passport & give my other passport with retirement visa to Agent to renew my visa in my 1st passport as I need a passport to travel to work as will be in Thailand for 1 month before heading back to work
When I got my visa last year the agent had my passport for 3 1/2 weeks & I only got it back night before my flight back to work & don't want to get myself in that situation again
Anyone done this before or know of anyone that has done it

The average for my Triton is exactly the same, 2.5 bht per km. Less than 1 bht per km is very attractive especially as we're doing 120 kms a day on the school run...... roll-on delivery next month.
You must have same sort of school run as me as Daughter's school is 30kms away so 120kms a day . I'm looking at buying a hybrid because at least have security of a petrol engine don't think Thailand is ready for electric cars just yet ( out in the villages where I am anyway )
-
I did 2 e-visa's from London but they were 1 year non o visa visas based on marriage as I have a thai wife & Daughter & they need you to show £10k in a bank account before receiving the visa so maybe you have been mixed up with that

Word of warning NEVER use power washer for cleaning roof tiles as my brother who is a roofer in the uk told me , He has had to replace whole roofs after people cleaned tiles with power washer as is makes the tiles porous & leak like hell .Only way to clean them is with a hard brush

Been looking for a new car to replace my 10 yr old Mazda cx5 having whittled it down to between the Toyota cross Hybrid or the Honda hrv hybrid ( need something economical as do a lot of kms ) This week had a look in past a nissan dealer & had a look at the Nissan kicks e power which is basically an electric car with a 3 cylinder petrol engine which is solely used as a generator to provide electricity for the electric motors which power the wheels so different from a hybrid as the engine doesn't power the wheels at all
Does any one have any experience with this Compact SUV ?

Thanks for the replies I wouldn't be driving more than 250kms in a day anyway & even if I did I would be stopping for food , toilet etc after around that stage anyway
So would be able to charge if I went electric but also good to have the safety net of an engine if going hybrid also I suppose

Hi Have been looking to buy a new car & I do a lot of Km ( taking kids back & forth to school ) was looking at suv's mainly especially hybrids for good fuel economy such as hrv or Corolla cross etc but also been researching the BYD atto 3 which has been getting good reviews on YouTube etc but wondered if there are any owners that can put their views of ownership in Thailand regarding economy, ease of charging etc etc
Cheers

What I meant is that in the uk it is known as a 2nd passport it's not called a concurrent passport , its also something that is not really known about & not broadcasted as its only available for certain situations ie business travel & travel to conflicting countries etc

Wrong.
"A second UK passport is when an individual has two separate British passports simultaneously and can use both of them at that same time. This is different from dual citizenship and is also known as “concurrent passports”." Source.
Yes that is exactly what I want to apply for a 2nd passport, I don't want a concurrent passport I have to apply for a new passport but tell them it is a 2nd passport I'm applying for

Hi
Australia passport must be different as there is no such thing as a concurrent uk passport but thanks anyeay

Hi
I am trying to apply for a 2nd uk passport whilst living in Thailand ( Online) , I have a letter from my employer explaining why I need a 2nd passport but have noticed that It says I have to send my 1st passport to them ( I need it for work that's why I need a 2nd passport ) I downloaded & printed off the application form which has a " more information " part where you can state you are applying for a 2nd passport but this isn't in the online application
I don't want to apply for another passport & they cancel my 1st one if they don't know its a 2nd passport
Anyone successfully gotten a 2nd uk passport online ?
Cheers

Alloy Wheel Refurbishment
in Chiang Rai

Hi
I have a set of Alloy wheels that are scraped & scuffed etc that are in need of refurbishment
Do anyone know a shop / place that does this or have experience of having gotten wheels done themselves
Anywhere in the chiangrai / Phayao area is fine
