  1. I'm planning on opening my own business at the end of this year. But is unsure about how hard/easy this will be. After doing some research on the internet, I have come to the point where I am sure I need legal advice to make the business.

I'm a Danish guy whom been living in Thailand for the last 8 years, but have never done any business here myself.

My idea is to setup a teacher's agency, where I offer teachers to local private Thai schools in Bangkok. I don't want to open my business as a school as I am not going to have any in-house teaching and I understand setting up a school will take a longtime due to the ministry of education.

I'm planning on having about 10-15 teachers working for me, sending them to local Thai schools. I will then get money from contracts from schools about 50,000 THB per teacher.

Some of the things I am not sure about is:

    1. will I will able to go out and get the contracts signed, before registering my company. Just to be sure my ideas will work.

    2. How will I set it up and how much money do I need to start it up.

    3. Do I need a Thai partner to make it easier to start up.

    4. As you might be aware, some teachers in Thailand is working in Thailand without workpermit, how can I pay their salaries without getting trouble.

Really hope some of you guys have some advice for me.

I have the teachers and will always have teachers on hand, so that is not the problem.

  2. Does anybody know where I can get Thai film DVDs with English subtitles? I got 'Kumpapaan' and 'Chan Dara' and 'Suriyothai' with subtitles but can't get 'Fan Chan' with subtitle anywhere. My sister got the Fan Chan dvd for me from a shop in Central Ladpraow. The guy in the shop insisted that there was Eng subtitle despite no indication of it on the box. Needless to say, there wasn't any subtitle...

My partner doesn't speak Thai (although I keep pestering him to learn) and I would really like to share some good Thai films with him.

Any suggestion would be appreciated. I'll have to get my sister to send the DVDs to me from BKK, so if you could recommned a place in BKK to buy DVDs with Eng subtitle that would be great.

    Thanks guys! :o

I bought the Fan Chan movie on DVD at Siam Paragon last Saturday and just finished adding English subtitles.

The movie got the menu and all the extras and movie just like the org. DVD with added English subtitles.

If anybody is interested just pvt me.
