We have had our townhouse on the darkside for 10 years. Even though we are only there now for a month a year it is in my opinion the best area of Pattaya for me. Plenty of bars for drinking, girls available if you want them and some good restaurants etc.

On another board I am on the only thing apparently missing from the darkside now is a bowling alley.

We need my wife's birth certificate for her to be able to get Australian citizenship. We seem to have lost her original copy. The Thai embassy in Australia said the only way to get another copy of the birth certificate is to return to Thailand and go and visit the Amphur of her birthplace.

We cannot visit Thailand for awhile at the moment so after doing a bit of googling we came up with an option of a Thai PI company getting the certificate for us. We have had to sign a power of attorney for them to visit the amphur on my wife's behalf. This is still in progress and it will end up costing us 12,000 baht when successful.

There well may have been other options but at the time I was struggling to come up with anything better than this.

I wash my motorbike and the hire car myself out the front of our house. I probably do this once a week when we are in Pattaya. It embarrasses the wife and she tells me that the neighbours think I am poor because I can't afford to pay someone to clean them.

Hogan's bar in Soi Khao Talo over on the darkside has been getting good reviews for his kebabs. He also is selling pre-made curries which people are saying are not too bad either.

The most popular Kia I have seen in Thailand is the K2900. I haven't seen too many everyday commuter vehicles getting around.

Setanta has the rights to the rugby league this year. Most Thai cable and Truevisions (107 I think from memory) have this channel.
