I am heading to Kuala Lumpur for an interview next week and need to know if I require a visa to get into Malaysia before I leave Thailand and also what will happen to my extension of stay visa (1 year). Do I need to go to the Thai immigration to report that I will be leaving Thailand even if it's only for one day.

Glad I postponed my holiday there until next Tuesday (12th), as I was originally going to arrive tomorrow (9th)

I assume you mean you have an extension of stay based upon marriage not a visa.You could go to immigration and try to get extension after paying 500 baht per day overstay fine up to a maximum of 20,000 baht.Or leave to get a non-o visa paying fine on departure. Then return and apply for your extension.

It all depends on what you actually have in your Passport.

Guys I have just realized that I have overstayed my one year family visa by over a month. What is the procedure to get this renewed, does this mean I have to leave Thailand and re-enter and go through all the procedures again. Not sure if being married to a thai and having a son makes this any easier. Advise much appreciated.

The govt. set a precedense by buying rice at above mkt. price so they should do the same for rubber, then they can have a rubber mountain too. At least rubber can be stored easily and then sold later if and when the price goes up......

It has a sell by date. It goes off eventually.

Similar to the government which has a sell by date, but unfortunately this government has reached it's sell by date long time ago and after expiring has filled the air with the stench of BS.

Interesting phrase. The press is going to print our view and our view alone? That's the PT I know, freedom of the press is the freedom to say what we tell you to say.

With everyone using some form of social media nowadays it will not be that difficult from actually finding out the "actual story" from all the feet on the ground. Look at how most of the political rallies happened in the Arab Spring, most of it done via social media and that is where the actual stories were coming from, not from government backed media outlets.

No offense to anyone, but the minivan drivers here are the same as the minivan drivers in South Africa, they just don't care about anything or anyone. It is all about getting from point A to point B in as quick as possible time to make it back to point A, the more times this is done the more money they make. It's all about the money and sc*#w the lives lost in-between.
