  1. Hello my fellow TVF friends,

OK so me and some friends are coming down to Samui from Hua Hin for the 500th Birthday of the Hash House Harriers on Thursday. I also have to fit a visa run in at some point. As we set to return home on Sunday, i would end up losing an extra day waiting for immigration to open Monday morning in Ranong if i decided to to my visa run on the way back.

So one option is to get the overnight bus from Hua Hin to Ranong (arrives 6am), get visa done first thing, then make my way to Samui from Ranong to meet up with my buddies in Lamai. Does anyone have any idea of bus times to Surat Thani and then information on how often the ferries are from Don Sek? Is there a reasonably priced VIP bus that does all in one (one way)?

Any ideas you guys and gals have would be much appreciated!

    Kind regards,

    iEgK

  2. So I can say any local who owns a car is a terrible driver, or just use any stereotype... Not everyone down there is a "whore" ... Just sayin

And fruitbatt I have met people in that programme in Ubon Ratchathani... much respect

Just where i come from that is not a word I would use to positively describe a woman

Again good job on getting your refund though! I have never had any encounters with the Tourist Police so have no knowledge on how well they perform. :)

  3. wow.. i don't know what to say

"The guy with the crew--cut drove and multi-tasked admirably; dodging motorbikes, smiling through the ordeal of bar-alley where whores in tiny shorts smudged slurry on the windows of the cruise car, aimed water canon at the windscreen, and tipped their buckets over us"

is this necessary to the story at all?... it looks like you are looking for a reaction or something? Maybe that is the rebel in you.. or one too many police batons over the head!

You really shouldn't judge bro... but anyways well done to the Tourist Police and congrats on getting your money back!!

  4. here is a map A being Palm Bistro and B being the dump, if you were to go past Palm Bistro (heading away from HH) at the end of that road turn left and you will eventually come to dusty roads and a quarry. The dump is down those dirt roads and to the left... lived on Soi 102 for 2 years no problems... rubbish tip you talk of near railways tracks is just where they keep the trucks not the rubbish... no smell from the pig farm somewhere nearby although you do hear them squealing on some nights!! =)

edit: im not allowed to post links... sorry!
