Maybe you are right. I've kind of given up hope that this kind of thuggery will end ; in fact it seems to be getting even more prevalent. Disgusting and disgraceful.

it's not getting more prevalent.............just so happens to be the world of the internet.....It has always been spineless Thai's beating up women......groups of Thai men beating the weak 4-5-6-7-8-9-10- Thai to 1 or 2...........It's always been here.......I've been here 35 years........nothing has changed.........and I've managed to only have 1 attack on me.....and I'm the one who didn't run away.....the other spineless 5 Thais  did, knowing they weren't going to win..........Jus saying......

I sent my steak back three times at the Dorchester hotel in Park Lane ,London. I had asked for it very, very rare.

The British have a different way of classifying steaks. For them, very rare means medium rare, medium rare means medium and medium means well done. It seems much the same here, I find it very hard indeed to get a very rare steak here. I love steak tartare (raw)  or Italian style ( carpachio?)raw. Marcos in Chiangmai does the latter beautifully. But on the whole I'm a bit wary of eating raw steak here.

Why didn't you order it Bleu? If you don't know how to order your steak properly then don't blame the dorchester.......their Africans anyways cooking your food.

Grilling gives a better visual assessment - oil confuses it.

Grill 2-3 minutes on a hot grill both sides, then flip back to the first side grilled. Watch the steak surface - when it starts to sweat, remove and rest for ten minutes. Result will be slightly less pink than shown.

The grill must be hot to seal the flavour in.

Actually your technique is correct and the way i cook some of my steaks. As a Molecular chef it doesn't matter if your pan is hot or cold, with oil vs. no oil, with salt no salt...etc.

    It's the technique.......

I can get the same results in a cold pan if you know HOW TO COOK.

  4. Another big scam near Pataya that i've witnessed a couple times.

A Car/Truck driven by a farang pulls into the petro station, faring says how much he needs, and heads into the convenience store while 2 guys on a motorbike drive past your radiator and pokes a wire into it a couple time (the vehicle front was not facing storefront.)

So, while you are driving, your car overheats, some good samaritan pulls up in a truck (the motorbike friends).

Then they tell them they can send someone to look at your problem..........I think you get the scam
