  1. I think it goes like this the first 60 day entry visa is on entry ,then it can be extended by 30 days at the imm office ,the second 60 day visa you have to exit the country (I think ) to activate it as a visa then you can extend that one by a further 30 days ,effectively giving you 180 days in Thailand

P.S Not sure if you can do the second visa at the imm office,

dose anyone know if this can be done in country

    All info helps all

  2. I was under the thought that to start the second 60day visa I could go to the Imm office at Phuket without leaving the country ,or do you have to fly out and in like a visa run to activate it . sort of defeats the purpose of 2x60 visa's.

can anyone clarify this for me

    Thank"s

The double entry Tourist visa is not a "stay in Thailand for 6 months visa", it is intended for a tourist to visit Thailand and then depart for another country within 60 days (90 if the extension is applied for) then return to Thailand within the validity term of the visa, to continue their tourism. They then depart again within 60/90 days to pastures new.

Therefore departing Thailand is necessary to before activating the second entry.

Thanks for the info that clears it up
  3. Hi Guys new to the forum and read this and realized i am in the same boat I will be over staying by a day as the flight changed and ill be there a day early due to an earlier flight departure get in on the 31 as opposed to the first by 3 Hrs which overstays my 90 day visa by that day ,

Am I right in thinking that its a slap on the wrist on the way out or a 500bht fine at most even for a 90 day stay,Will the thai Imm address this when I extend for my extra 30 day extention of my 60 day visa , or on the safe side get a 2X 60 entry and slove the prob before i go .

Sounds confusing I know but i dont realy want a bad boy stamp in my Passport.

    Thanks WAZZA
