  1. Well I only can tell from my experience. We purchased our home through Koolpuntville company, and I think they have an very good record. We have our home for sale on kv12 and to be honest when someone come to see our home they don't believe it is 6 years old as it still looks new. Maybe because I'm foreigner and take care of our home. Also the plus is when you purchase an resale you can see the end product directly. We want to move back to Europe and when we are there for sure I want a resale as I can move in directly and not waiting a year for construction work.

Also keep in mind that the plots start to be smaller and smaller we for example have 520m2 corner plot and if you look to new build mostly the land is around 300m2 in a row. I hope this information will help you.

  2. Hi,

3 years ago we gone in our new villa.

A month ago I saw some small cracks in my basin what was irritating me. (my wife not :-) )

So I contacted Kohler in Thailand about the problem and told them that I thought it wasnt normal in such a short time.

Directly a mail back and asked for some pictures.

Result a brandnew replacement without any questions no need of showing a receipt just replaced.

    So this company is serious.

  3. Hi we could use some help.

We have 4 cats and are looking for a cattery or someone visiting our house to take care of our 4 cats in case we are on holidays?

I have been looking on the internet but cant find any thing.

We would like a place where the cats can walk around and where the people give them a lot of attention.

Even better would be if there is a service available that they visit our house clean the cat toilets give them food and give them some attention so that they could stay in their own envirioment.

If you have cats and living near Koolpunt ville 12 or Saraphee and you have the same problem then let me know to see if we could work something out.

    Thanks in advance.

  4. If I read this about this accident, then I wonder why they dont arrest the friend of her as well whom gave her the keys of her car to this young girl.

All the discussions are nice but she is not allowed to drive at all as she is to young and has no driving license. Also as the mother is telling that she is driving fast??? I never read that the mother is telling that her daughter is stupid to drive any way. I think if we made a crash like this without a driving license and without insurance that we can not walk away by a accident like this as we will go straight to the police station so why is this girl just walking away? If the girl is wrong what could be seen on the cameras (If this will not be deleted by accident) then in my opinion you cant give her a very high punisment as she is not old enough to release what she is doing. For me I find that they need to arrest her friend whom gave the keys to her and put her in jail, if she didnt gave the keys to her then this accident was probably not happening. I hope this will solved on a proper way and will not end under the carpet. So I hope justice will do their job. I really find it very sad for the family of the people whom are killed.

Maybe more speed control, higher fines not the laughing 400B, no insurance you loose your car, no driving license 2 years not allowed to drive a car, if they caught you straigh one month in jail.

  5. Yesterday we visit **** cafe near in the old city. we are going often to this place as it is a nice quite and pleasent place.

Yesterday we where there and on the sign was written that when you was buying two the same coffee then you pay 50% for the second one.

we ordered 2 capachino, and 2 other coffee, when we finished we ordered more capachino.

When I wanted to pay they charged all the coffee for the same price.

I told them this is wrong 2 where half the price.

The DUTCH owner (must be very on his money and dont know nothing about how to tread clients)told us NO if you order a coffee it will be for the same coffee what you have ordered so if youorder a coffee with milk, the next had to be also coffee with milk???

I told him we ordered 2 capachino and 2 others and it makes no differents whom is drinking the coffee?

He told that for him it was making the diffeerents and we have to pay???

    Unbelivebal?

So this is how Dutch treat Dutch people or other clients.

His 70THB was probably to important for him, he only forgot that he now lost a customer whom was coming regular there so he will loose more.

For me it is simple if someone rip me off I will not come back any more so ****** is a place what i WILL NOT visit any more.

Also if someone will ask me about Mokador I would advice not to go there.

Better to cross the street to the what there the coffee is even cheaper.

    So very sad.

  8. Hi, I would like to ask you people how to move on with the following problem.

In December last year I bought a Sattelite receiver from www.eldsat.com, when I received the Receiver all the plastic of screens etc was already removed, the remote control had already traces of use, and there was a scratch in the plastic screen of the receiver also the sticker ont he site gave a date of 3 months earlier.

I have complained about it and and send back the receiver as I wanted a new one and not a used one.

It cost me almost a month after calling for my product etc before I received the Receiver back, I even have been treatened by this guy.

Any way the receiver was the same one so I had an used receiver for what I normally wouldnt pay the full amount.

Now after 5 months the receiver stoped working so I send emails (around 6 or 7) I called several times always you need to put a number so they call you back.

I have send my receiver for repair on the 4th of June and never had any response on emails, telephone calls or whatever.

So what I would like to know is if I can go to police station asI find this stealing from clients.

THey received the Receiver what I have send signed, and never heard something back so the guy got my money and my receiver this is stealing from clients.

The guy is English and I can tell you that Im very dissapointed, and learned my lesson.

Buy something local, I bought a new receiver and when I have a problem they guy is in ours here to help me.

    Thanks in advance.

  10. We have bought an new car what will be delivered around 15 to 20 January.

Our garage is giving us 110.000THB for exchange on a new car, I think this is very low as I know the condition and what we have done on the car.

The car is from 1994, It is an automatic with almost new tyres, power steering overhauld, new rubbers in subframe, new radiator for the automatic, new oil and filter for automatic etc etc. There is still remaining an very good insurance on it, and the car is with LPG

So I'm looking for an better offer,.

You also can buy the car without LPG.

Each km will cost you 1.5thb a km

Only LPG installation has cost me 40.000THB 20 months ago.

Good running car for littel money

Looking for an price of 130.000THB included the insurance.

Or 110.000THB without the LPG installation.

you can call me on 0861944851

  11. Hi we are living in Parbong Sarapee, we only can connect to TOT :-(.

I'm very unhappy I/m maybe 3 km away from the server but always problems, especially in the weekends.

I pay for 4MB but receive lots of times less than 1MB.

They have checked the line etc and are telling everything is working ok.

They show me they have 4MB on their appliance but I almost cant do a speed test so slow.

I have changed the contract a while ago to business for what I was paying a lot of money so that I could see TV from Europe.

They told me that that would solve the problem, so that was not true.

Somethimes I'm thinking to buy an Iphone 3G connect it to my laptop and work on that way.

If someone has a good solution for my problem than let me know.

I dont mind to work with a Dish or other provider but as example Maxnet is not here so cant connect with them,

With Maxnet I could see TV from Europe.

  12. Hi Kevin,

I have an Audi and was feeling a bit ripped off by the Audi dealer in town as they only could replace parts for new parts.

Problem with your and mine car is to find the parts as that is more difficult for an Europe car especially when they are older.

However I found an garage whom seems to be very reasonable and honest.

It is at the end of the Sangkaepheng road at the south side.

    Tambon Parbong.

His name is chang, and his telephone number is 0817466590 I think it is worth a try to call him.

  13. Thanks for the advice, but do you know a company in Chiang Mai whom can do the whole house in one day as that is what we prefer.

If it is not there I will inform on the moo baan.

    Thanks.

  15. Does anyone have experience with visiting the MFA legalisation dept for marriage affirmation and translation certification?

I will be heading up to Bangkok in the next few days and wonder what the cost of the service is?

It says on the British Embassy website that your marriage affirmation signed letter and translation in Thai can be certified on the same day service, but no costs are mentioned, other than that the normal procedure is two days, can anyone whos been to the MFA on the marriage route please fill me in on this one?!

    Thanks in advance!

    Best DSG :D

The same day ( 2 hours max they say) service is 400 baht per page certified. No idea what the 2 day service costs and I think practically nobody uses that. A lot of people waiting, so it did take almost 2 hours.

Thanks for those replies there, heres how it went:

ok I went upto Bangkok MFAffairs on Chaengwattana yesterday after picking up the affirmation to marry form from the UK Embassy (3500b next day pickup) I headed to the Translation office next to the overpass which charged me 300b for one page translation, the guy friendly and photocopied my passport and then we went over to the MFA Office (3rd floor, ladies check your paperwork is all in order, then take ticket and wait number). At counter paid up 800b with all paperwork, waited 30 mins then received a receipt then told it can take 30mins - 2 hours, so went to eat downstairs at foodcourt. Went back up and asked an hour later, the girl pulled my records and then handed me the translation of affirmation (in thai) was incorrect! (the thai lawyer translation office accross the road) <deleted>!? surely they have done this more than once I thought to myself, then thought jai yen yen, TiT, so went back got the translation correctly amended and then back to MFA, 30 mins later they called my name and everything was sorted, I know have the paperwork to go get married at any ampur office. :o

    hope this helps!

    DSG

    Hi DSG

Could you give me the name of the company for translating the papers to get married?

Or if possible explain me from the English Embassy, I will come from the Dutch Embassy.

Further if possible could you tell me how to come from Chidlom to the Chaengwattana road? Can I go there with the sky train or sub way?

Do they speak English if yes than I dont need nobody else for this and can do all the things by our selves.

Looking forwards to hear from you,

    Regards,

  16. Sentence is maybe to high,

But keep your hands of other stuff than there is happening nothing with you.

I wish they had a law like this in Europe, would save the shop owners lots of time, and there would be less of crime.

In Holland if you burgal a house, than you go to the police station and you will send home untill you will come for court.

    Big laugh.

If you steel something you will have a small fine and you can start again.

    Crazy.

So yes the sentences are to high, but if you have a shop here outside you put plastic over it in the evening and go home.

Next day you remove the plastic and nothing gone.

In Holland and other European countrys you put plastic over it and next day even plastic is gone.

Lived in Spain for many years, if you have trouble with your car and park it beside the street than the next 2 days your wheels are gone, radio gone etc. Who cares if the sentence is so low.

  17. Hi,

When I came to Thailand last January I was quickly iritated to renew everytime the codes for the dream box.

There is a very easy way.

Buy a original dream box from dream tv from the Phillipins.

It will cost you around 15000THB included a new receiver and a one year free TV for all the channels.

So better to pay something than to loose everytime the channels.

    Eric

Phone number, address or directions of dealer please.

Hmmmm.....while Thailand does nothing when it comes to stopping the pirating of items outside this country they do seem to frown on it for businesses in Thailand. I think I would have to know a person personally before I introduce him to my satellite dealer. I would never post it online. Sorry.

However, I suspect, that if you see a satellite dealer in Chiang Mai, stop by and ask for the Dreambox. If they have it, they probably can help you obtain services to fully utilize your purchase.

Fair enough, any chance of giving me a PM?

If not, I know where to get the dreambox from China, would it be fairly easy to setup if I were to get a local satelite dealer to install a moving dish?

    Thanks in advance.

  18. With your help, for which thanks, and that of a number of other people, my wife and I are looking for someone to build us a new kitchen. Last week we visited the Starmark folks at Homepro, and I would just like to mention here that they have been extremely responsive, helpful and pleasant so far. They visited us at home the same day we made our first visit to them, to check and measure our kitchen space. They had a very nice design ready for us the next day, with some ideas that none of the other places we had visited had thought of. We had some suggestions on their design, which they incorporated and showed us the following day. Language is an issue (their command of English is a close match for ours of Thai), but they have been pulling in people from elsewhere at Homepro to help, and that plus a lot of sign language has worked well so far. Their quotation is slightly over half the quotation we got from Homikitch (albeit for a different design).

    ABOUT HOME PRO.

We have been to Home pro, Homikitch and Index.

Index was one big dissapointment. :-(

4 weeks ago we visit Index saw a nice kitchen and wanted to have an quot.

Next week we will have the price for it, NO price sorry there are 2 other people who need a price so next week ready, NO the designer was in Bangkok they will call you NO.

So this means that we will not buy by Index living mall NO WAY bad service.

    Homikitch

We have seen a very nice kitchen by Homikitch but a bit out of my price range.

We have an Indoor Kitchen, Thai Kitchen and I need a bar for upstairs.

So I need to watch the money.

As we are an Farang couple we need to pay everything cash, no mortgage no loan :-(

    Anyway

We visit Home Pro, the new one south of the airport by the new big c.

We walked in, my wife saw a nice kitchen and in 1 hour we had a price of our inside kitchen :-)

Later that week I have been back again for our outside kitchen.

And yesterday the guy visit the show house to look what we want exactly, and took the details for the bar.

Today I had the complete price.

I think very good for the quality and the units what they will sell to us.

30% discount this month, I bad I will have some more off.

The only very expensive part was the Top of the kichen.

    6000THB for 1meter .

So this I will not buy there.

I found an supplier ONLY 2.100THB a m2 NOT 1 m no m2 this means arround 1300THB for 1 meter included the double front.

    So that it look thicker.

If you are interested let me know.

For sure this company will install all the granit what I need.

    Home pro.

If you want the kitchen designed ask for

    Saksit Garagate

Sales Designer Home Pro (Hang Dong)

    Regards,

    Eric

  19. Adding a granite worktop rather than tiling or fake granite laminate not so pricey. We spent about 14,000 on 7m of worktop.

Good ranges of cupboard doors, draws & above counter wall cupboards now available at Noppodom Panich(?) & Global House. Fairly easy to fit these yourself.

    Hello Mobile69

Could you tell me where I can find this guy how is making an granite worktop for 14.000 baht for 7 m worktop?

I´m looking for a new kitchen, but the top we like will cost arround 8000 baht a meter what I find a little bit to much :-)

So I look for an alternative.

If you can tell me were I can find the shop or if you have an telephone number would be great.

    Looking forwards at your reaction.

    Eric

  20. If you want to see with your own house that the house is blown away than go to see it by yourselves.

If you go from Rimping supermarket (direction the Ford Garage or Nissan) cross over the road by the traffic lights and take the first street to the left.

Pass the first moo baan on the right and follow the way than near by the Gsm mast you will see on the right the destroyed place.

That is what have been the big bang.

    Eric

  21. Hi all,

It was an explosion in a House or shed between Laguna 4 and the inner road to the road of Rimping.

Sorry dont know the names yet, just here.

We are living on La Guna and yes there was a big blow.

I couldnt see where it was coming from, but the Thai neighbours where looking arround on the motor bike, and when they where back they told me that it was someone how is always preparing the fire work bombs for the festivals.

Something has gone wrong and blow up the house.

    Bad luck for this guy.

So far I have heard there where 2 people very serious injured, not dead.

    Eric

  22. Hi,

Could you give me some more information about the furniture what you have for sale.

What is it for wood, what quality?

I´m looking for some nice good quality furniture what I can use in our new home.

Maybe you have some pictures of it.

At the moment we are staying in Laguna Home in Sansai until the end of this year when the house is ready.

Looking forwards to hear from you,

    Eric Nagtegaal

I have some of the stuff you are looking for, which we advertised a few months ago. Unfortunately, the furniture is in a house in Sansai, and I live in Phuket..! And at the moment, I am in Indonesia, so a bit difficult to help..? Also, I paid quite a lot for it, when it was auctioned by the former British Consulate, so I am not really giving it away. It is all good quality, and in excellent condition. It includes a large table, some chairs, bookshelves, cabinets etc. The computer desk I took with me. I might be up in Chiang Mai in April, so if you're still interested then, let me know. Good luck with your book project..!

    Hi

  23. Dear all,

I will move to thailand on the 15th of January :-)

I have bought here an Garmin Nuvi 660, and need to buy the Thailand cards for it.

Can any one tell me where I can buy them in ChiangMai? or in Bangkok.

I dont mind if it is a used one.

What is the best I can buy??

There has been offered me a package in Chiang Mai for 11.200 baht?? Is this reasanoble? As I have seen also on the site of Garmin in the states the Navigator software cost 120$ what is much cheaper??

Maybe a stupid question, but are the streets named in English?? because my Thai is not so good yet.

    Already thanks for the answers.

    Eric
