I have lived in Phayao now for 3 years now and I love it. It's quite, and no pressure to get things done. I must say I'm a guy who doesn't like the Fast track life of a BBK or Chaiang Mai, Chaing Rai or any of the towns downs South. There's is lots of restaurants to pick from and we have Grand Phayao lake which is very nice place to walk around and there is always something going on there. There are lots of epats living here in and around Phayao. I do the 90 day report and visa at Chiang Rai which I enjoy as it so easy and fast, the officers are very nice and helpful. I also like doing some shopping at the bigger stores in Chiang Rai every 90 days although Mako will be completed in about two months. Just a side note I've never been in the Chiang Rai Immagation office for a 90 day report longer than 15 minutes. When renewing my visa around 45 minutes max. You can only renew visa on Monday or wednesday.

We have two hotels with a new one tone completed soon many homestays around the lake but if you looking for lots of entertainment Phayao is not the place for you. Id you need to get away for a weekend or longer it's Phayao is not far from Chiang Rai, Chiang Mai, Lumpang, and of course you can easily fly down to BBK or fauther down South. I hope I've helped you somewhat in your decision making process.

I have found taking a Cinnamon stick and break in half and putting in the rice white or brown and it works well in sugar. I also put it in my frosted flakes I do however put everything in some type of container. We have not had a problem sense we started using the cinnamon sticks. Just my two cents worth on the subject.

I also had two cobra's in my yard, one at the bottom of my steps going up to the patio and the other day one under the house. Killed both of them. The first one I didn't know what kind of snake it was but I thought some kind of Cobra but when the second one was found I made sure to find out what kind of snake. These monocled Cobra's snakes are danageours and I have two cats and one puppy and I don't want anything to happen to them. The puppy would want to play with that snake and end up getting bit..

I'm new to this form as a member but have been reading it for sometime. I find it very helpful when trying to find out what's going on in Thailand. So after reading about DTAC problems what is the best phone service to have in Thailand? I have a house in Phayao but at the present time I'm back in the USA visting my family will be returning in Oct 2012 and will be needing to purchase a phone plan. I'm not sure which one I should use. Any ideas??
