It's an outside policy , but I downloaded the form from the official Thai website and have the necessary signatures for that. Hopefully, I won't have any issues
I still want to know how you managed to get the Directors of a non Thai insurance company to sign the form.

What if you are already covered under the Thai social security / hospital system from previously having worked in the country? Would you still need to get health insurance even though you are already covered as much as any Thai person?

Thanks Joe.

Hi all,
Australian under 50 years of age. Coming off 2 years of stay with Non Imm B/Work Permit so no tourist entries of any kind for the last 2 years.
My question is if I exit after my current Non Imm B expires and then try and re-enter a week later under a waiver will an IO give me any grief or do they just look at how long since the previous tourist entries?
Cheers.

Nobody here will be able to tell you, the only ones who can tell you 100% for certain is the IO where you will do your extension.

You are asking the wrong people. There is one thread quoting an IO that states Pensions only. There is another thread quoting a (different) IO that any income is fine.
Ask your IO.

I need the straight dope. NONE......and I do mean NONE of the so-called "visa services" are answering email inquiries, though they all have provisions to do that. I need to know if I can be helped. Money is not really the issue, since I make more than enough to satisfy the requirements for a visa: Either retirement or marriage, I do plan to do the marriage route, despite the hassles, Half my income is in the USA and half is in a Thai bank. At least two You-Tube video services have told me that i am screwed, to find another country;. I am willing to talk with any knowledgeable human, using the private message feature, as long as they are not selling snake oil. I have plenty of time, since I don't renew until October. With the arrangements I have made already, this has the potential of ruining my life. if anyone can at least point me in the right direction. it would be a livesaver (quite literally). I can get nothing but insults and comments like (you should have planned more carefully. If you have suggestions, I;m listening to any privage message you may have. This is a situation with truly horrible consequestions, which I won't go into.. If you have suggestions, I am likely to be awake since I have not slept in three days. I will never put my fate into the hands of a Thai again. Thanks for any help.
Since you have been scant on details I assume you are wanting the "straight dope" on the income method? Surely by now after so many topics you must know that nobody can give you a clear answer because nobody truly knows. You have until October, just start transferring as much "income" as you can each month (40k for marriage) making sure it shows as a foreign xfer. Over the next 2-3 months I'm pretty confident things will become more clear. At the moment confusion reigns so no point getting worked up about it yet.

He meant it was mentioned in an interview with the head of immigration (Big Joke) who stated he is working on amendments to current laws, one of which was abolishing 90 day reports.I was asking RWILL but thanks.

Perhaps comes from when we had thunder Boxes down the back yard
Apologies is I am being dense but that still doesn't explain why you cant come up with 20k for an agent.

So the 500 that the employee pays in fact the company pays them and trusts them to pay to SS or the company deducts it from their pay and handles it for them, like in the UK?
The employer does it all so they would pay the employees 500 (which was held back from their salary) plus the employers contribution of 500 directly to SS on the same form.
-
AFAIK:
b) Both. 5% to a maximum of 750 baht. So for example:
Staff member 1 salary 10,000 per month. You pay them 9,500 the other 500 (5%) goes to SS along with another 500 (5%) from the company.
Staff member 2 salary 20,000 per month. You pay them 19,250 and the other 750 (not 5% as that would exceed the 750 max) goes to SS along with another 750 from the company.

Got it, thanks for the edit.

From the Bangkok Post report: <link removed>
Has a few interesting things in the article such as using a broker to prove the 800k not being so bad if you are a "decent person".
But apparently you can report your address using the Immigration Line App?
If they want a more technological channel, they can contact police through the Line App, which has the handle "immigration". The software allows foreigners to give their addresses and apply for visa renewals...
Anyone tried it?- 1

The meetings point was also covered in the decree:
A. The following non-Thais can carry out certain activities in Thailand without a work permit:
(1) a non-Thai who comes to Thailand on a short-term periodic basis to: hold or to attend a meeting, lecture, seminar, training, exhibition of art or culture, or sports competition; provide an opinion; inspect work of others; or, any other activities, as prescribed by the Council of Ministers.
So I guess it would come down to the actual wording and interpretation of the decree. Google 3 different websites and you get 3 different wordings:1.a non-Thai who enters into Thailand to: operate a business;
2.foreigners who enter Thailand to engage in business or investment;3.Foreigners who enter Thailand for the purpose of establishing a business or investment,
I think we can agree all 3 give quite different impressions!

Link to the relevant article below.
The most significant changes under the Decree No. 2 are as follows:
A. The following non-Thais can carry out certain activities in Thailand without a work permit:
(2) a non-Thai who enters into Thailand to: operate a business; make an investment; or who has knowledge, ability, or skills that are considered beneficial to the development of the country;
Does this mean if I operate a business I no longer need a work permit? This would be a massive change (wouldn't need 4 Thai employees etc) so I'm not sure it would be interpreted quite as simply as it seems to be stated.https://www.bakermckenzie.com/en/insight/publications/2018/04/new-amendments-to-the-work-permit-law

Ok thank you.

Thanks Joe. With the TM7 will I need to show all the documents such as company tax return, personal tax return (form 91), company registrations etc etc or are they requirements for the WP extension?
-
My Non Imm B and WP both expire 31/8/2018 so with a month to go I am just trying to get my head around what exactly I need to do.
Am I applying for a brand new Non Imm B with basically the same paperwork requirements as the original app or an extension (TM7)?
Thanks in advance.

Hi. Question regarding business visa if I just want to sell a product into the Thailand market - ie: I don't want a work permit or anything just "conduct" business.
A requirement from the MFA website is to show:
- Corporate documents of associated partners/companies in Thailand such as:
1) business registration and business license
2) list of shareholders
3) company profile
4) details of business operation
5) map indicating location of the company
6) balance sheet, statement of Income Tax and Business Tax (Por
Ngor Dor 50 and Por Ngor Dor 30) of the latest year
7) value-added tax registration (Por Por 20)http://www.mfa.go.th/main/en/services/4908/15388-Non-Immigrant-Visa-"B"-(for-Business-and.html
Question: If I don't have a partner or company in Thailand is this still a requirement? For example I might just sell a product to a company in Thailand who then distributes / retails it. Would they be required to show this full list of corporate documents?

As the OP I thought I should give an update on my re-entry experience.
I had a 3 day trip to China for work and was expecting to be denied again on my return to Suvarnabhumi. I paid the extra to go through the premium lane as I thought better to have the argument in semi privacy.
Stamped through for another 30 days without a word.

So if I have had zero visas ever (only ever entered on 30 day waivers) there should be no problem getting a SETV through an agent such as Lucky Lucky Motorcycle in PP?
Quarantine Period Remains at 14 Days

Maybe spend 30 seconds on Google before making incorrect statements:
Today (12 October 2020), the Thai Ministry of Public Health, AstraZeneca, Siam Bioscience and SCG announced their intent to manufacture the University of Oxford’s potential COVID-19 vaccine in Thailand. If the vaccine is successful, Thailand will receive doses with the aim of commencing the vaccination of the Thai population in the first half of 2021.
