£500 equates to approx 21,500 baht, as previously alluded to, that's 511 baht per day. Now, I don't know what they expect the holidaymakers to do but, if you budget just 100 baht per person per day for meals (and that means never foreign food or restaurants, purely working class Thai meals), then they have a wopping 100 baht left to enjoy all the facilities and amenities. Lucky them!

Having followed the link from Ralf 61, it never fails to amaze me how the Thai press corrupt, distort and false report anything that may be detrimental to the image of Thailand. Is Big brother censoring them, I wonder???
-
Why does the press ALWAYS negatively report? Why not say, 7 out of 8 voters are still happy with Trump??

Maybe the fact she knew she had only paid an eighth of the real price, should have rung warning bells!!

Sgt Rock.
I meant no disrespect to Jim Radford or any other 2nd WW veteran, so apologise if it was construed that way.
RWD. Stabilise was the adjective I used to describe Borneo/Radfan/Malaya etc etc. which, I'm sure you'll agree, are stable!!
-
Having served 30 years myself and fought in many conflicts around the world, the comment by Mr Radford is totally wrong. The wars and conflicts since the Second World War have been against different enemies to peace and hepled stabilise regions that otherwise would have fallen into chaos, in the process making the lives of millions safer and giving them a decent future.
Syria presents a threat to the world and Mr Radford should bear in mind the reasons behind the decision to bomb them. If he is happy to accept terrorism in mainland Britain, then I suggest himself and his medal throwing colleagues depart for another country.

They wouldn't be verbally abused or misunderstood if they were not in Britain!! If they don't like it, <deleted> off to the Middle East and see how their Saudi/Iranian/Iraqi/Kuwaiti etc etc fare with their governments.
-
What a totally moronic report. The empty beaches have nothing to do with the absence of thieving jet ski operators, they are due to other factors such as global economy, bombing in Bangkok, inept government etc. etc.

I assume that this visit was paid for out of their own pockets? If not, did they cream it off the thousands of baht they take for NOT issuing visas to legitimate applicants?

Crossy
think you misunderstand the problem. Irrelevant WHAT the BTS do, <deleted> with heads in phones will not see them anyway!!!

I'm assuming that daily expenses include buying the latest smartphone so that you can use Facebook and Twitter all day, every day.

Check that you were issued a MULTI-entry non-O visa. If not, then the immigration was correct in only giving you a 30 day stamp. Remember, you have to apply for a re-entry permit BEFORE leaving Thailand!

Somebody should tell the Thais that "time" was not given by God, but by the English, hence why we use GMT!!

Did I miss something or is the "World Day of Remembrance" only here in Thailand??? As bad as the Americans with their World Series

Maybe it's the "killings" that are deterring tourists, along with corruption, bad policing and scam artists!

Although I do not condone his actions, the do-gooders should see the problem we have over here. Hundreds of stray dogs roaming around in packs, many threatening adults and, worse of all, small children. A proper cull is needed urgently.

As long as you download the app outside of Thailand, HSBC's works extremely well. Their exchange rate is better than most, for instance yesterday, they gave me 54.65 on an online transfer, LloydsTSB only 52.46. That's nearly 22,000 baht difference!
There is no HSBC personal banking in Thailand but, if you open a Jersey, UK or any other country account, you can see them all in their excellent "Global View".

To obtain a Non-Imm "O" visa based on marriage, you've always had to provide a map of your house and photos of yourself and wife outside it, clearly showing the house number. Morons on this site do not read the post properly. LEGAL stay is allowed, OVERSTAY is not. How difficult is this to understand???

Isuzu in Pattaya offer 25% down payment, residue over 4 years. The "Prestige" model comes with big screen GPS, Bluetooth, rear camera, electric driver's seat etc. Total cost OTR, 901,000. However, their after sales are nowhere near as good as Nissan.

How is it legal, and unbiased, for the Military to keep Yingluck for 2-3 days but let that criminal insurrectionist Suthep go free? Methinks this means that the mil will instill Suthep's thugs as government and ignore the procedures of democracy.

Airport by far the easiest way. 45 baht to Phaya Thai (90 if you use express), then 25-35 baht into town. I've used this way 76 times over the past 2 years, by far the most stress less!

Did I read this wrong or was it his SON that was underage, NOT the prostitute (not that Thailand has any of those!). If so, how can the sex tourism law apply?

Looking at the picture, I would say it came from the outbound side, hence why it's entered right to left.
