  1. So, do you think this will be sufficient incentive to encourage Thailand to treat its tourists better in order to resuscitate the ailing tourism numbers? Will Thailand come to realize that tourists are the most valuable resource in its economy? Will Thailand finally begin to listen to the valid complaints of its visitors?

    NAH, not a chance! Same-same in 2015.

I doubt if they will stop treating us like shit when I first arrived it was great but has gone down hill every year if it was not for my lovely partner I would never return

  2. After many years Chiang Mai 6 months each visit I was stopped on Mae Rim road at bike check point

  3. In before the 29 pages of "but my case is different than the hundreds of others asking about the same thing with the same details as me" posts that are sure to follow.

Of those 70k over-stayers last year (and 30k so far this year) I wonder how many are for over-stays of less than 2-3 days ? TAT claims 26.7 million tourist arrivals in 2013, so 70,000 over-stayers would represent about .0026% of that total (a quarter of 1% of the total). Doesn't seem quite the massive problem requiring draconian measures as it sounded before.

I often overstay 2 or 3. Days and pay fine at airport
Last trip on leaving had good chat and joke with immigration man he say come back soon always like get your 1500 baht
  4. I hope the army can get the taxis outside Hua Lamphong train station to use their meters. Some do, but sometimes all I get are fixed rate quotes. I've heard both tourists, Thai people and honest taxi drivers complain about them.

Also at the bus Station arrived last night chased by these bad taxi drivers wanting 400 baht go to M

Nana after long search found meter was 97 baht on meter come on guys clean these A Hole mafia taxis out of Thailand
