  1. Hi guys,

Wondering if there are some beginners in the forum as well..Picked up Golf last year but then stopped due to not being able to get out enough and then just hitting the range gets boring...Looking to find some friends who too are looking to improve and perhaps up for a game every other weekend around Bangkok..Let me know..

  2. So after a few lessons I am planning to buy my first set of golf clubs, preferably looking to get some used ones to start with....Wanted to know what’s the best place to get them in Bangkok…If Thaniya plaza, would be nice if you could recommend a store or a person as otherwise there are just too many shops there selling just about everything…And I want to avoid the knock offs..Also in case some of you have some old clubs to sell, do let me know..

  3. Living in Bangkok, I want to start playing Golf and needed some advice on whats the best way to start. I understand from various people that taking lessons may prove beneficial rather than just starting on my own..

Wanted to know whether I should go about taking lessons on a driving range or will joining an indoor facility like the Wilding Golf Centre be better...Any advice/ experience is welcome..Thanks..

  4. Yeah heard some good things about the Thai-Japan Youth center, but the only thing is that it is a bit far from my place to be able to play regularly...But what the heck may just make it a piont to be there on weekends...So the 40 baht is a per time playing charge or does one have to get a membership too?

  5. Hi,

I am just a month old in Bangkok and was looking for places to play tennis & squash...I heard about the Racket club which is quite close to where I am staying (Thonglor) and wanted to check if there are other members in the forum who go there and could provide me some feedback on the place in terms of facilities, general level of players etc..

They require the payment of the annual fee upfront so any feedback is welcome before I pay the money!

Also would be great if you could advice on any other place which is good...Also looking for playing partners around the area...I am looking to play regularly and get back to the previous fitness levels!! Used to play tennis at the state level back home in India and been playing squash on and off for a couple of years too now so my level for both would be intermediate I guess..

    Thanks.

    Arjun

  6. Hi all,

Just came across this post when was looking for squash partners...Just moved to Bangkok a month ago and checked out the racket club this weekend..Seems like a good place and planning to join so any feedback on the place would be helpful!!

Since I am replying a few months late to this post, would be nice to know if anyone is still open to having more squash partners...I played tennis seriously for years and then took to squash a few years ago...Play at an intermediate level and looking to now play regularly now in order to get back in shape!

Feel free to message me in case anyone interested...Could play late evening or weekend mornings...

    Cheers
