  1. The whole process is a big joke. :o Went to a shop on Rama 4 yesterday and they didn't check my ID. Just gave me a form in Thai and thats it.

    Name : Karl Arsch

    ID Number: 123456789

    Country : Entenhausen

But they have my real phone number so what. :D I don't think they will call me.

  2. In Pattaya: Henry's in Nakluea Road, just opposite Woodlands. Been there since years and no complaints whatsoever.

For the materials: Would be nice having a rough guideline how to tell cashmere from polyester. Does anybody know?

If you can't tell the difference then it doesn't matter, you should by polyester...

(or try your lighter on a thread)

    :D

I know the difference between wool cashmere and polyester. My problem would be telling the difference between Thai Cashmere Blend and Italian Cashmere. :o

It is at least 100 Bucks so there should be one.

Hmm what about Rajawongse? of Rajawongse Heard it should be good by some people working at the US embassy. Just want to make a nice Overcoat. I found a list of prices at another site and Italian Cashmere should be about 300 $ and Thai cashmere blend about 200$. But how to spot the difference? :o Or is another Tailor better for Overcoats?

  4. I had to deal with them a lot when I was setting up a magazine with them combined with online advertising purposes. Out of about 150 Tailors we interviewed only one came accross as GOOD! While being in his shop, (non-indian, father from Hong-Kong mother Thai) I noticed many business people from London where there. While interviewing him he told me great stories about certain customers that kept coming back just for suits. He does all in-house and not as most others that use all the same slave camps.

Being convinced I started buying my own stuff with him and until now I never had any problems with any of his products. He also produces shirts of the rack being sold in Central under a different label.

To be found at: Chidlom Skytrain station. From there you take the second exit into the shopping mall. Direct on your right in the corner.

Hmm does nobod know where this tailor is or at least the name of the shop. :D Otherwise Bithano and Raja sound nice, but who is better. Decisions, Decisions :o

Oh by the way is this the webpage for Rajas? My Webpage

  5. yeah but YBB, what most people don't understand, is that the expensive copies are "Exact" replicas...even down to the seals, but they are not cheap. You can pay up to US$250 for the good ones and they are probably better than a Seiko anyway.

    Chuchok,

OK. Didn't know you could spend that much on a copy. Sounds interesting! :o

Most I've paid is 2000 baht.

    Cheers YBB

    You can easily Watches

  6. Why buying cheap replicas in BKK? If you want to have good quality try www.replica-watches-guide. com register in the forum and have a look. These replicas might be more expensive, but with swiss eta movement. I bought an Omega it keeps perfect time ( looses 2 seconds a day) and looks awesome. Ok it costs 200 Dollar, but after servicing it will last a lifetime like the original ones. Just my 2 Cent. :o

  7. Hi Folks.

I want to get a nice tatto. So can you recommend me any places in Bangkok? It should be a good artist and a clean place. If somebody knows something it would be nice.

    Hi Darky,

from reading some of your previous posts I have come to the conclusion that you are a Grossly Overweight German that is intrested in getting a tattoo :D Why not start a TREND here and get a "I LOVE DADDY" tattoo on your right arse cheek.

I do know something that is nice, but I doubt if I would share it with you :D

Thanks for the tip. Will do that.

    Darky aka Big Daddy :o

  9. Join a gym and exercise. Keep your goals realistic so you don't give up. Focus on, say, losing two pounds per fortnight. Challenge yourself.

:D I am not joining a ######ing gym in Thailand I don't trust the Thais supervising me. So it is just swimming every day for 2 km. I will join one when I am going back to Germany in February. At least they know what to do there. :o

  10. I am sorry but it appears many people don’t have a clue about what they are talking about on the subject here.

I have a few clues for you.

Follow up and PM me if you need more help.

Ok so this is my take.

First the body isn’t a dummy!

It’s always (yes I said ALWAYS) the "perfect weight" it needs to be to deal with what you do to it!

    Got it?

You do things correctly and you will see results and vice versa.

But none of the “real cure” stuff is instant because… the body like a plant grows on very deep organic levels that most of us can’t even imagine much less see.

It’s always tuned on and working so you must trust in the process even though you don’t see it most of the time. Like a seed planted in the Earth.

Many seeds establish a root system way before they venture out with a green shoot that you can see.

The thing you must do is to get clued into what is really a healthy life style. Most of the info is not correct on the subject, close yes but no cigar got it?

If you are serious about this subject and willing to invest your time, energy and money on this topic then I am wiling to bet you can have the body you really want if you haven’t destroyed your organs past the point of no return.

    Best of luck to you.

Thanks :D Maybe we could meet and drink some beer and talk stop water I meant water :o

  11. There are few people out there who have controlled their weight forever. Some people don't have problems at all yet they are the first to advise others. Only people who have been seriously over weight and have come out of that situation and stayed out of it for a long time MAY have something someone like them can use.

If diets and exercise were so easy everyone would be doing it and the wouldn't be so many overweight people in the world.

There's no magic trick which will solve this problem. Get help, try and you might lose some weight but you will never 'succeed.' This is a lifelong battle. You will fight the fat forever.

Yeah I know. :o But what can you do about that.

Maybe in my next life it will be easier. :D

  12. Hmm thats a very interisting topic. I myself am a fat whale. :D But while I have been here in Thailand for 12 weeks now I have lost about 15 kilo (30 pounds), because I am eating here a lot less than at home in Germany( almost no chocolate and other sweets), becuase its too hot here :o . Also I have started swimming 3 weeks ago and do it now for about an hour a day. I know I should go to the gym twice a week, but I do not like it there. My big problem is, that I am going back to Germany in February and that I havn't learned anything about dieting nutrition or such things. I am feeling great now, but I definetly have to go to a diet expert to learn something. I weight 122 when I came to Bangkok and I am down to 107 now. My goal is 85, but that is a long and stoney way. I hope to get down to below 100 ( around 98) before I leave. Thanks for the links I will read them and post any questions I have on this board.

  13. Hi there,

I have to write a 3 pages term paper about Bangkok's history. I found some links in the Internet, but if someone could give me some links or even recommend me a book about the history I would appreciate that very much. :D Also if someone has written something about the history that would fit a Thai Studies Course at the university I would take that also in account. :o

    Thanks for your helps folks.

  14. Iam searching for US size XL or XXL shirts and t shirts. If it would be possible good quality genuine or if thats not possible godd quality fakes that last. Iam especially looking for Tommy Hilfiger XXL shirts, because the ones I bought way back are getting transparent. :o

  15. I am coming to Chaing Mai in October and wanted to if there is any Golden Triangle Tour that has 2 o 3 days duration. Until now I only found 1 day and thats to short for me, because there are some things I wanted to see.

I hope that you can help me

    Thanks folks

  16. I'm starting with my MBA at Bangkok University this year. So I would like to know if anybody could recommend an apartment or serviced apartment. It should cost max. 12-15000. Maybe somebody knows a shared apartment with some farangs  :D  which would be slightly  less expensive. The University is on Soi Bangkok University  :o  ( Rama IV/ Sukumvhit Soi 40)
Many students and postgraduates are staying at http://www.bosstower.com/

So can anyone tell me more about Boss Tower?? Are there special rates for students. What about the rooms. Has anybody pictures of them?? What is included in the rates and what ist the outfit of the rooms?? Like fridge, safe etc.

I send an email to boss tower, but they didn't respond until now.

Maybe somebody studies at Bangkok so they can help me.

  18. Hi.

I'm flying at the beginning of August to Thailand to study at Webster in Hua Hin. I read the pages about how to get a Visa etc. I'm German (24) and on the page of the embassy in Berlin they say you can get a visa for a year but you can only stay there for 90 days continously. Can you get a visa to stay about 6-7 months in Thailond or not? If this is possible would that be cheaper than doing the visa run to Malaysia or so?? I'm so confused at the moment :D:o Hope you can help me.

P.S. Sorry for my poor english but I hope my skill will improve before starting with my MBA in Thailand. :D
