  1. If you guys want to access PayPal you need to do this

    1. Get a VPN with DEDICATED IP in the location you registered your account with at: www.strongvpn.com (Its the best VPN provider)

    2. Get the program ccleaner here: http://www.piriform.com/ccleaner/download (You can use free version)

    3. Clear your cookies, internet history in whatever webbrowser you use, close it down and run ccleaner (tick those boxes that has to do with your webbrowser)

    4. Launch the VPN and visit paypal.com

    5. Repeat these steps EVERYTIME you plan on using your paypal account abroad, or they will block your account.

  2. I have had a few things shipped in recently from Europe and Hong kong/China, mostly from Ebay. These are one offs for personal use. Everything that was under (about)150USD had no import duty attached. Only one item that was around 175USD attracted any import tax.

How much did you pay for the item that was 175? Im thinking about importing some clothes and sports nutrition that I cant find in thailand.

  3. So im moving to Thailand, Chiang Mai permanently soon and I regularly buy things off of ebay. So I was wondering if anyone knows what is the import cost to Thailand, at what value do you NOT have to pay any import costs? For example, im from Sweden and you dont have to pay import costs for anything under $50 coming from Asia or US. So for example, if I would import something from Hong Kong or China, would I have to pay import cost for things from there as they are from Asia? Or am I only to pay import costs for things from Europe or US?

Because Asia is Thailand included, shouldnt there be a no-import cost?

    Thanks.

  4. Well since I am not in Thailand right now and valentines day is soon, I was thinking about sending flowers to the lady but couldnt find any onlineshops who might send it to Chiang Mai. Does anyone know any onlineshop who sends to Chiang Mai? Or could someone be oh so kind and visit a stop and tell them to deliver on my behalf? I will obviously pay for your time :)

    Thanks.

  5. I usually never comment on news stuff, but this is seriously stupid. That the police release the russians AND give their passports back. Assuming these russians have no fear whatsoever and dare to fight with someone so known on the island, it indicates that they have the resources to get away with it.

Im going to tell you people one thing you dont know about russians, and you wouldnt know unless you been in the underground scene for a long time. They, if anyone are professionals at counterfeiting passports. Im not saying that these are, but there is a good chance if they put up something like this.

I also know that Russians Business Network operates off phuket (known ddosers and bank hackers) now out of order though. They are probably laundring all their hacked bank funds down there. Those are the ones that you so nicely refer as the mafia.

  6. Isn't it death penalty for using drugs in Thailand?

Anyway, I doubt they will put him in prison since hes Hi-So and he haven't shown up to court, that means he's already gone. He's buying himself time to talk with someone higher than the police, so that he can buy himself out of the trouble. I'll bet the next news report will be about him disapearing and they cannot find him. And they might say they have issued a international police warrant but it wont be the truth.

Even if they have his passports, Thailand passports isn't that good made like the ones in Europe and shouldn't be that hard to fake. Or in his case, he could probably buy a new one right off the government.

  7. Fabrique is on the ground floor of the President hotel, just off the N.E. corner of the moat. I was there once, with 3 locals, another couple and my date. I was charged 300, but it was a drink credit, so it went toward the tab. I hated it, one mans heaven is another mans hell. Loud "Euro zombie thump" music big, crowded, there must have been 20 litres of hair jell present if collected from the spike haired dudes, lots of little nubiles checking their mobiles, . I bailed, she was not happy.

Agree totally, I went once with A.N.Other; but it was very apparent looking around the clientele that this is where the wealthy flash cash guys (both thai and Farang) and wannabes hang out.

The girls there; lets say they are the real leeches; worse than bar girls; they have £/$ reflecting in their eyes, and their prize...a rich guy.

simply put TV readers if you are not seen to be spending big (and with JW and multi singhas on the table) then dont expect a visit from the Hi so girls here.

At the time i was charged 200bt, and my "date" was free.

But if you are not afraid to be in a minority, and want to pick up some class "no strings attached" then ditch the plebby tourist traps and go to the Monkey club or Warm up.

I gurantee you will not be disappointed......................(but if you are then T.S.cool.png

Well not everyone go to a nightclub to pick on girls, they are everywhere and it doesnt matter what club you go to. I'm just looking to have a good time, getting crazy and do whatever. Now these are things I cannot do in Monkey or Warm Up because none of them play electronic music, it's either slowmotion rock or thai liveband.

  8. Mandalay (Also called Scratching) is a large nightclub, probably the biggest one in chiang mai but it's known to have many gay people. But still the same music as they play in Bangkok large nightclubs like Insomnia, Route 66 etc. House music, electronic music etc smile.png

Mandalay is also for Thais only.

(OK, they let in the occasional foreigner if you pay a hefty fee, but you ain't welcome)

Rumour has it, Mandalay has suffered the same fate as other late night venues ...... closed by the police.

(Too much noise in a residential area)

So it's true then its gone and wont open again?

Guys, whats Fabrique that you are talking about? I have heard about it but I dont know much about where is it? What music do they play and is it large or smal like spicy?

  9. do not support mandalay. their double pricing is only for racist reasons(as it almost always is).

300thb for foreigner and free entrance for thais.

my friend asked the staff why is it like that and the answer was "we don't want you here". so there you go, <deleted>*k 'em!

I dont pay a cent at the entrance and im not thai. Maybe you were unlucky at that time..

  10. I've seen Spicy open the last few days. Haven't been in CM long enough to know what Mandalay is though, sorry.

If you're looking for a Spicy replacement then behind Lucky Bar (just before you turn onto Loi Kroh) there is Lucky Club, now known as Good Morning Club. Opens till around 7am but it's 99% the same girls and guys that you'll see in Zoe Yellow or Spicy. Also really small, so not my style...

Yeah I dont like Spicy or small clubs either, but for meeting people who stay here its a good place.

Other than Mandalay the only option I know is Discovery, unless you want thai liveband from Infinity after 23:00 to around 3am.

Mandalay (Also called Scratching) is a large nightclub, probably the biggest one in chiang mai but it's known to have many gay people. But still the same music as they play in Bangkok large nightclubs like Insomnia, Route 66 etc. House music, electronic music etc :)

  11. There's many camps, some are small and out of town. Some of the better known are Lanna (near CMU), Quest (near the airport), and Tiger (Mae Rim). Tiger is a new branch of the Phuket location. Any of them take boxers at all levels, experienced or not. Good luck.

Tiger offer the same things as they do in Phuket?

  12. You cannot extend your visa exempt entry, but you might go to laos and apply for a double entry tourist visa. This would give you 60 days (extandable by 30 days) per entry, so in total up to 120 days, with leaving Thailand once after 90 days.

    http://www.thaivisa....-in-the-region/

Follow above link and check a few threds about a torist visa in savanakhet or Vientianne for more information.

I am planing to go to Singapore, would I be able to apply for a double entry there and if so, where? It's usually at the thai embasy I assume? How long does it take to make something like this? Is it just filling in a few papers and then I get it or? And would be sweet if u knew the price on it too.

  13. Hello.

I have recently decided that I want to stay, or even live in Thailand for a longer time than I initially planed. Now I read abit on the forum that if I fly to another country and return with flight back to Thailand I will recieve another 30day. I am Swedish by the way. If I would use a transport I would only recieve 15 days?

So if this is accurate information it would be great if someone could confirm it, since my visa expires on the 14th this month. But since I want to stay here longer and traveling every 30day would be lame, can I somewhere in Thailand extend my visa to 60 or even 90 days? If so, what information would they ask of me and how much would it cost to do this visa? I'm staying in Chiang Mai so if I could extend it for more days it would be great if I wouldn't have to travel to Bangkok.

Hope someone could help out, thanks!
