  1. Not sure if this has been done to death but had a quick look and couldn't see anything.

Previously when i was in thailand i had a DTAC prepaid sim where i would buy credit and put on data packages which were 1gb or 3gb full speed then dropped down till the end of the month.

Which company provides the best bang for your buck data wise. I'm imagining i would be mainly using data and next to no calls or texts. Hoping to get a similar deal where it's 'unlimited' data.

I'll be based in thailand for at least 2 months.

    Cheers for your help.

  2. Thai GF is like attaching a 20kg boullet to your leg, gogo bars have draft beer at 60baht so it doesn't cost too much to do a mini gogo crawl smile.png

You can eat thai food at 30-40baht a plate, so if two times a day + small at home breakie you won't spend more than 100 baht for food per day, 30k per month is no problem at all in pattaya if you know your way with money, thumbsup.gif

This is really it, easy to live on 30,000 a month follow above and you will have 500 a day spare!!

  3. Go to The counter marked "Pattaya" on the 1st Floor between doors 7 & 8. (Actually, this is the same counter as Bell Travel).

The bus leaves hourly until 8:00 p.m. (The 9:00 and 10:00 p.m. departures go only as far as Naklua). The bus stops on Sukhumwit at the corners of North, Central, and South Road, then continues to its terminus in Jomtien. Running time is 2 hrs. to Jomtien. If you want to take this bus for your return to Bkk., you must board at the terminal in Jomtien. Northbound to Bkk., it does not stop at the side of the road to board passengers. Running time northbound is 90 min.

So this is wrong then? as the website says 6pm last bus.

  4. Hey guys,

Just finished 3 months in Chiang Mai and hoping to spend 3 more in Pattaya. Can anyone recommend accommodation between 5000-10,000 baht a month. I know it's not a massive budget but it got me a room with ac, cable tv and internet in chiang mai.

Also interested to here from people with a spare room to rent.

    Cheers

  5. Hello,

Planning on going to Vang Vieng at the end of the week. What is the quickest bus route from Chiang Mai to Vang Vieng? Most of my googling has the bus going through Vientiane but I hear it may be possible to to go via Nan.

    Cheers.

  6. Thanks for all the great suggestions guys, I checked out payap university today and they had the library on lock down (turnstiles) which was disapointing.

I will check out some of the other suggestions tomorrow but really looking for somewhere that has limited distractions, Thanks again all.
