I have been riding for 52 years. Started on a BSA Bantam at 10 and still ride now. HD and CT110 and spent many years riding like there was no tomorrow. I looked in amazement and thought they are ALL riding like I did back in the 70s but I wasn't on a 250 with the wife, kids, dogs, market goods.......I did 4 trips to Thailand before I finally rented a bike on Samui. Licensed, International permit and wore a helmet so WAS covered by insurance as did have a minor accident so reported it but as medical expenses weren't going to be ongoing we didn't proceed with the claim. The insurance company were very supportive and certainly appeared willing to pay.
I was also amazed at the tourists and kept a bigger distance from them when on the bike (and walking) as I sort of could predict the locals but there is no way of predicting someone who has no idea!!

My wife and I went there in 2012 at my wife's urging. She did all the tourist stuff, photos, washing and playing in the ponds. I stood guard on top of the wall taking photographic evidence. Haven't looked too many tigers in the eye before but didn't see anything to suggest drugging. On the contrary, one chap on the way out of the pit stepped away with his back to a tiger and it quickly started a move on him but the young girl handlers got him under control and reprimanded the tourist. I believe all the tigers that are in contact with the public are under 2 years of age.
Needless to say, one visit for a few hours doesn't give me any idea what happens after hours and long term but have followed the reports in Thai visa and am surprised the educated (?) comments on all subjects. I would certainly give National Geographic some credibility but unfortunately most journalist subscribe to the 'Don't let a few facts get in the way off a good story' theory . I've worked on a few farms so if you want to see shit, visit a dairy farm. The punch does look a bit odd but the tiger appears neither distressed nor disturbed.
I didn't particualy like the bear cage.

You become a Man by your actions. Having something hanging between your legs only makes you male or in these types (lady) boys

I'm in Beijing and been watching news without much understanding so read the lead article with interest until the last couple of lines blew the lid. Thanks for the several replies that explained a bit of the history. Sort of true about TVF not being available. I use a vpn and am 'currently' in Romania! is the only way I can get my g mail and hence TV

killing the dogs in a temper is pretty sick but to hang them up would have taken time and thought

I'm sure I read that David was sexually assulted as well so maybe the second semen sample was from him.

74 ain't that old anymore. Had broken his leg a week ago, wonder if that had something to do with it. Don't go near a hospital or surgery unless you have too - Joan Rivers only went in for a bit of surgery.

Unfortunately there are cops too keen to clean up the case just to make themselves look like heroes.

Well that didn't last long!

Are the bodies even related to the boat? From memory the boat was locked, no damage ( or struggle indications) and a member commented on the currents in the area.

"Police are unsure if the couple were murdered or committed suicide."
Couldn't there be a third option - accidental? Too little information and facts to make any call as yet.

Very easy when associating with like minded folk to treat the use of these (any) substances as 'normal' and get a bit relaxed about where and when but authorities don't! I'm off to Beijing in 4 weeksso a good timed article to keep me on my toes.

Great idea teaching crocs to leap out of the water. Imagine meeting one while fishing in a tinnie!

Credit to Thai railway staff. I was very impressed travelling the system and Australians class Thailand as a third world country. If only we could have a system like this in Melbourne.

and they found 200 pills in his home, bet they started with 300,000 and a little 'shrinkage' on the way for travellers.

I'm an ex motor mechanic and I don't ever remember having a spark plug in my pocket. You could probably determined I was a mechanic by the embedded grease/oil (old days when we actually rebuilt units) around my fingernails.
Spark plug was more likely going to be a missile or his bike has worn rings and had to be replaced regularly.
