But I read in other topics that e-visa would save you passport pages, that is why I ask
-
Any risk to get your passport stolen by the scammers?
-
Pls tell me: when entering Cambodia with a printed-out e-visa, where do they stamp - into passport or on the printed-out visa? I'm running off the pages in my passport and if they don't stamp there it would be great to save me pages

Sorry meant to post dirty money of course

I don't think that your question was stupid, it's just that those 2 places are so different than each other that I never would have thought of comparing them. A little like asking "which is better Grindelwald or Fargo?"
I am just in the state of making decision of where to settle down, so SNK (so different from Samui maybe) is just an option, that is why I asked. Thanks again to those who did answer.

I was referring to:
Normal policy of immirgation has always been to give 90 day extensions for people studying elsewhere then at a regular school or university.
My school advertises it can do up to FIVE yearly extensions, so I wonder is it "regular"
-
How one can recognize a "regular school" from "irregular" one pls?
-
Has Samui gone downhill to such an extent that it's reasonable to ask that question?
Yes the poster has only been here 5 minute's and thinks it might be easier to get a safety deposit box in Cambodia and can get some motorbike riding lesson's but he's going to get his teeth fixed before he leaves Samui.
Hope he doesn't think I'm picking on him I wish him all the best.
No, that's ok with me. Nobody likes awkward and incompetent newbies. But some ppl still find it possible to answer newbies' questions, and I'm totally grateful to those who did in this and other "stupid" threads you mentioned;)

Thanks, also forgot to check Wikipedia:)

And it's still not clear what SZB is...
-
Firefly has nice rates on its site, but prices depend hugely on the date, so double-check
-
1 more question: are there 2airports in KL? I understand, international airport is KUL. Then what is SZB (firefly flies there). Is it far from the center of the city?

Hello.
Can not find a list of the consular holidays for August (if there are some special Malay or Thai holidays when the consular s not open). Help appreciated.
Thank you in advance.

Thanks a lot, I'll remember that

If you are flying to Phnom Penh airport, you do NOT need to get a Cambodian visa in advance. You can get one on arrival at the airport.(for most nationalities-you haven't stated your nationality though) The businees visa (now called ordinary visa) costs 25USD,on arrival you need to fill out the application form-simply put "business" in the space for "reason for visit" You need only 2 photographs , you do not need any documentation at all for your reason for wanting a business visa. The prices quoted by the Embassy official are a blatant rip-off.Secondly you mention "visa on arrival" for Vietnam-this is incorrect nomenclature-it's actually a pre-approved visa, whereby you apply online and pay online for a letter of approval, which you receive in an email. You then have to show this to the airline,or they won't let you fly ,and present it at a special desk in the airport, where,on payment of a further fee,you receive a stamp in your passport permitting entry. It's only valid for arrival at Saigon or Hanoi airports.
Is it possible to get business visa on arrival if you enter NOT by airplane pls?

Thanks, will definitely render those pages.
But maybe some of you would sum their ideas here as well?

So far, Cambodia seems to have 2 better points (if I understand 'em right)
-1year visa is easy to obtain and there's no need for visa-runs
-life (including appartment renting) is cheapper there than on Samui
Is that correct?

I know I'm asking too much questions, but pls let me make 1 more.
I noticed so many respected members of this forum have been in Cambodia.
So what are pros and cons of residing on Samui or in Sihanoukville?
I have to make up my mind and need your opinions pls.
Thank you in advance

Thanks a lot

And how am I going to keep my jewelry on that account? With all respect mate
I'm surprised you would ask this question, I would think if your are not a customer that means having an account, why would they give you access to a safety deposit box.
Because I'll pay for it as for any other service. Isn't that natural?
-
I rented a safety box at Tanachart Bank (but I stay in Koh Phangan). Difficult they will have one free but you can try in Samui.
Could you pls check if they have one free now?
Sounds not too crazy to have it there and make cheerful trips when I need to
Thanks in advance

If business is so hot why don't they open more new ones?

Horror stories? Shouldn't the OWNERS be scared instead? Or do people steal poor tourists' passports? Or what horror stories you mean pls?

I mean, are there reliable travel agencies I can trust my passport to to apply for visa on my behalf? I'd like to travel around SE Asia and don't really want to go to Bangkok to apply myself.
Thanks in advance for your answers
