I don't know the current market price of Tapioca but I do know it's a lot cheaper p/MT then the inflated price paid by the previous Government for the Rice, which was left to rot.
So even if the Rice is turned into ethanol the financial loss will be substantial - even if 1 MT of rotten rice produces the same quantity of Ethanol then 1 MT of Tapioca. -

I had to look twice but a few days ago I saw a farang playing the Violin in broad daylight on the footbridge at BTS On-Nuch.
Certainly better then begging with innocent children in tow -
I understand your curiosity but it's a bit premature to disclose these options in a public forum, but when the time is right and the project is well on its way I guess the media will discover and dissiminate the good news anyway

Besides, the estimate is 5% to 10% of the stockpile of 18 Mln. MT'S is unfit for human consumption. That's a lot more then the 100,000 MT'S mentioned here.

There are more intelligent and lucrative options to turn rotten rice into something more valuable then Ethanol.
We are currently proposing these options to the relevant authorities. -
Sorry to disagree entirely, but if you read the initial article carefully, it says that 100 baskets = 2.05 MT are sold for USD 488.- that's just USD 238.- p/MT or about THB 7,500.- p/MT which is only half (50%) of the totally insane and inflated price the PTP has promised - but not kept - to pay Thai Farmers !!

and the other half ??
What about Water & Wastewater Treatment Plants which are at least as important as Power, if not more urgent.
Who is in charge of such basic utitities in Myanmar ... Ministries, Municipalities or State Enterprises (i.e. MWA and PWA)

Myanmar export quite a lot of AC's but mostly via Singapore because of inadequate Banking facilities in MM.
Are foreigners allowed to trade and invest in AC's in Myanmar ? and is there any AC Association in MM ?
I'm looking for reliable suppliers and maybe invest in a QC Milling Plant.
Any advise and contacts would be highly appreciated. Thanx in advance :-)
