Totally agree,, I'm a UK citizen, and the UK were and still are reporting true figures of covid infections, and recently reported over 200,000 in one day, unfortunately due to this corect reporting, other Countries put the UK on there Red lists,, Thailand has never reported the true infection rate during the pandemic...
And what advantage is reporting people with symptoms nothing more than a common cold...... not only are you screwing up local businesses but also, as you said, making life extremely difficult for anyone wanting to travel...( I personally wouldn't even transit through Uk atm due to all the extra BS). Omircon is rampant everywhere, most people get on with life or maybe do a home test.....I know of several people who got tested just to get time off work or else they want the positive cert to avoid the booster shot

Update from me.... went to Banglamung Hospital (Pattaya) as instructed by hotel.... they had a dedicated area for " 2nd PCR test" open from 8-10 am....gave pick slip and filled out a form and went in to wait under a huge marquee (previously used as public vaccination center judging by the signs).... about 25 people before me and lady gave out test vials when paperwork registered. Went over to another area for swab and then the "thailand health pass" was loaded on my phone via Line and was told i didn't need to do anything (on Morchana app)...all took about 45 minutes and pretty well organized. Negative result available today when i opened the "thailand health pass" link via Line

Hi all.... I am due a test in few days ... what the procedure for the Morchana app.... do they update it at hospital ?
Also, out of curiosity, what are the implications of not taking the test ? how do they know or track it.?

Looking a few bikes at the bigger dealer websites in Bangkok area and have 1 particular bike on my radar... it was listed at 349 k about 8 weeks and recently reduced to 339k, waiting to transfer money from overseas before i contact them but just wondering what is the normal, if any, negotiation window they have ? would be paying cash and looking to pay about 315k max, so 25k less than asking..... this ok or they will just blank me and stick to listed price... not in a hurry to buy as i already have a bike so can wait.
Also, would be asking to transfer from bkk plates to pattaya and ideally be looking for them to deliver it to Pattaya, is this possible to do without actually going to BKK.... not a huge drama to go but with all this Covid travel BS atm
cheers

It would appear the pandemic has caught a lot out who did not adjust their purchasing strategy to fit a drastic fall off in trade, even then the pandemic has run way too long for most, very sad for the bars, another blow to add to their already dire situation, desperate times.
I for one have stopped going into town just because of this.....would always have a few afternoon beers Sat/Sun and maybe one big night out per week.
The bar owners must be aware of it, as Feb/Mar beer is almost undrinkable at this stage with customers complaining or leaving it behind.
Maybe they should advertise "fresh beer" on a sign outside, cause they're not going to stay in business selling <deleted> tasting beer

I went to Nikhom 2 nights ago and after having a pretty good run of new beers there, the first beer I pulled out had a date from November of last year! ????
At least in Nikom, you can get check the dates when you get it from the fridge..... and its freezing cold.
Tbh, its the only place I'd go now after last few weeks experience......old beer in 6 bars I was in.

past it's best beer will not usually make you sick(er) but it is likely your farts will be more socially inhibiting.
Disagree.... few years i drank a large bottle of 1 year old Chang Export (was already half drunk so didn't notice the taste).....woke up that night with projectile vomiting.

Local Thai beer is not the same and it noticeably starts going off after about 3 months (depending on storage).... don't know if its because they don't put preservatives but i remember back in Europe I've often drank beer over a year old (out of date) and it still would taste ok.....

Nice spot for a few afternoon beers.... anyone know what their draft Leo and other bottled beers taste like these days......most bars in Soi Bukhao selling old beer atm (pre-lockdown dates)...so i've pretty much stopped going out. ????
-
Was down in the big super-market @3rd rd / pattaya klang junction and they had 2 pallets of small bottles of Singha and Leo on display, dated 03 and 17 of March....... don't think they will taste too nice ????.... big bottles or 7/11s seem to be the way to go atm.

Was out again yesterday in LK, started off early and first 4 bottles of Tiger Lite was July. (tasty!)....then we were served old ones from Feb, could tell straightaway but drank it anyway, for the next round we told her check date first so she came down with unopened bottle with July date so stayed for a couple more rounds..... looked like they may have purposely waited until we had a few until they gave out the bad beer again.
Moved on and next 2 bars, Tiger Lite was from Feb, changed to Leo and that was mouldy as well. ????....
Need to sort myself out with some Android box so I can watch the sports from home ????

I know times are tough for bar owners but do yourself a favor and start looking or sampling your beer.....have been out last few weekends and mostly the Leo is undrinkable ..Switched over to Tiger lite and although still old stock seems to hold its taste better but couldn't even finish the bottle in 2 different bars last ( and i was only in 3 bars)... Anybody else notice ?.... things are bad enough for bars besides doing themselves out of business serving pish.????.... rant over

Did you have a TM30 or they did not ask ?
Yah... i did it straight after my last visa run.
i was fined last year when i applied for the 60 day extension without TM30.

They would certainly not refuse to accept a valid extension application even thought it was not needed.
No need to worry about the 30th since it will be extended. IMO it would of been better to of waited until the decree has ended since it will be phased in. It will certainly not be go into effect immediately.
Yah...i hear you but I will probably do the 1 year ext next month as non o expires in june anyway, so i would prefer to have actual stamps in my passport opposed to amnesty......which may be misinterpreted by IO on the day.
-
I went to Jomtien yesterday to extend 60 day based on non o marriage (expire apr 23)......neither the receptionist or IO mentioned that i was covered under amnesty and processed as normal (in about 10 minutes).... i was actually concerned that i would be sent away to come back after apr 30 and face the possible mayham again so i didnt ask any questions.
-
I went down to Jomtien and got my marriage non o 60 day extension in about 10 minutes start to finish......very quiet...especially compared to the bedlam a week ago.
The reception or the issuing officer made no mention that i didn't need an extension......i didn't ask them either as i did not want to take a chance and have to join the potential queues after May 1.
