May i take this opportunity to thank TV members for messages of support and good wishes.
Also if any English speaking members living in Issan, have spare time, i would be more than happy for them to visit me
(same as Costas did) i would be so happy. It is very boring lying on my bed all day, when before my accident i was such an active person.
Anybody happy to visit please pm me. Thank you
When we compare ourselves to your situation, we are reminded just how lucky we are. Plus you are lucky to have good friends and a good wife.
Happy Holidays

Reminds me of the two Irish females on a flight from Abu Dhabi to Bangkok earlier this year who, on arrival, stuffed four airline blankets into their hand luggage and glared at me when I shook my head.
I know a guy who always steels the fork, spoon and knife from the airplane, his reason is, he is not wealthy enough to buy these himself (but he can buy the airplane ticket).
Ha Ha I know his brother! same same

It appears nobody has claimed the body and it is already to late for him to receive a proper Islamic funeral as time has slipped by. The tax payer will have to foot the bill to dispose of the body. Turn it into pig food would be a fitting farewell to such a man.
Is it true that the gunman's girlfriend is in Jail for the Murder of the gunman's wife?

There must have been someone in Australia that could have been tortured to find out about the intentions of this lunatic and so head off this tragedy.
Huh ???

I have used them in the past, never had a problem with them.
Doesn't mean though everyone is ok, maybe I was just lucky?

Showed my lady that, she had a laugh.

Dynasty Inn. The Green Hotel at Nana.
I think I stayed there the second time also.
Nice place to sit outside and watch the moveable feast stroll by.
Anyone else stayed there recently? Any Good?

Call them Beer???
Newcastle Brown Ale, now that is beer.
The Thai stuff is basically lager. And most taste the same. IMHO of course
I love a NBA, but they are so expensive, if you can get them.
Leo if fine to drink all day if the weather is hot.
And, let's be honest, when isn't it hot in thailand?
Singha, I like the malty taste, but protest them when they went to a smaller bottle.

Maybe a photo of the beautiful Pups might help?
Good luck with it.

Good point, FIREWORKS can cause havoc with your pets.

To my Australian friends, I am truly sorry for your loss.
I hope this doesn't tarnish Australia's reputation as a fun place to visit.

Like it or not, US will always be the world leader.
US will always be the world leader - until the new more powerful Nation emerges.
As were the Ottermans, Tang Dynasty, Roman Empire, Japanese Empire, Rashidun Caliphate, and the largest in terms of area, the British Empire.
Who knows, maybe it won't be a Nation per se, but a different affiliation, maybe even a Religion or a Trading Bloc.

Dose Putin care at all if the Rouble will lose 50% of it's value? of course not, he's got
his loot all in foreign currencies, he's not stupid to keep it in Roubles...
I believe that with Putin it's more about his ego, his popularity, then his wealth.
He's very popular back in Russia.
This is an interesting read http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/vladimir-putin/11257362/Seven-reasons-to-explain-Vladimir-Putins-popularity-cult.html

I don't follow Politics much.
But I do know that the Army has taken control
Talking with Thai friends, they generally comment that the General is doing a good job.
But this does not seem to be 'low hanging' fruit, not a priority policy.

Maybe a special Toy
Maybe some special Food
Maybe some special Attention

I'm Lining you up for runner up old boy. With Neverdie in charge of Jingthing's campaign this year, he is a real contender.
Next year will be UG's year, I'm sure of it.
Does that mean Jingthing for President and UG for Vice-President?

Please allow me to answer this in "typical" ThaiVisa Forum style..
And so Costas, or should I say "Colin from Abuja".
Since the 14 of November 2008 you have been posing as a Greek. Seducing us with your warmth and humor.
And now, suddenly, you are in "need of charity"; a week from Christmas.
Get to the point. You are from Nigeria, but your real name is neither Costas nor Colin.
Just come clean "Costas" .
Sipi, I appreciate your sense of humour.
I always admire your posts.
But this is not a laughing matter for me.
It has affected my life for the past 3 days.
I understand that my thread was diverted to Pub and entertainment.
But this is not any fun either for Colin or me.
I think that no-one is laughing.
It is a good story.

Lovely story.....

Quality is hard to come by sometimes here. Lovely story, well told.

A beautiful story, but something I don't understand.
You say that
Last Saturday, I got a PM from Colin.
Colin is a member of TVF that I never have heard of before.
He wanted to tell me that he lives about 5 kilometres from my house and because he was bedridden he couldn’t meet me.
Why does he say that he can't meet you, if you don't know him?
Merry Christmas, Colin and Costas and your wives!

Sorry to hear of your loss.

Meat exposed in open tubs
in General Topics

It is the meat that doesn't have the flies near that can be the problem. Sometime the vendor uses flyspray
When it comes to red, brown and white meat, the sniff test is a good indicator.
