Don't mind if I do. Thailand' desire for*insert comment about Thailand only wanting 'quality' tourists here*
richquality tourists has produced the predictable results: a haven for drug dealers, arms smugglers, gangsters and international fugitives.Meanwhile, the average male Farang with a Thai wife and children must jump through hoop after hoop just to get a year visa.

Just another example of the lives that will be saved when vehicles become self driving. It will be one of the greatest benefits of technology in the 21st century.

So we have a member of the US Congress declaring that "Thailand is our country" to the Thai PM. Well, at least the Thai government will have a reliable source of information and support from the halls of Congress.
Wouldn't surprise me if, after she makes her fortune in Washington, she leaves the US to retire in her home country.

I was told about 2 years ago at the Thai consulate in Vientiane, Laos that I, as the biological father and financial supporter of a Thai national minor, have a right (her words, not mine) to a 3 month O visa.
I don't know if that is actually the law, or if that is even the current policy there, so take it for what it's worth (TIT YMMV, this is Thailand, "your milage may vary").
