Hi TheOracle.
When you brought your certificate of affirmation to marry to the MFA to be certified, did you have to bring your fiance there as well? Or can you go there alone? Do you need to fill in any forms? Are the forms written in English/Thai or just Thai?
Thanks.

8 day is more then enough.
What you do is you get the freedom to marriage letter from your embassy. When you have that you go to a translation agency, they take about 15 minutes or so as they will have the template in their computer and only need to fill in some personal details.
Next you go to the Consular Section. For the express service you must arrive their before 12:00 (unless they changed that again). The translation agency cna also take care of that).
I did it all in 1 day, but it depends on your embassy and how late you get the letter. 2 or workdays is more then enough.
Hi. Thanks for your reply. One more thing. Getting the letter from the embassy, geting it translated and getting is certifed by the MFA, can I do all that by myself or do I have to bring my fiance with me in person? I guess she only needs to be there at the amphur for the marriage registration. Am I right?
Thank you.

Hi all,
Is 8 working days enough to complete the whole marriage registration process, assuming that I manage to get the express service? How long does it take to get the translation done?

Hello,
May I know if your partner is required to follow you for the legalization of documents? Do the people in the MFA speak English? Could you tell me how you got your documents translated?
I am stressed out over the procedures.
Please help.
Thank you.

Dear All,
I am malaysian and I understand that the Certificate of Single Status can be translated into Thai at the Malaysian Embassy. May I know how long it usually takes for them to do the translation? Are there any approved firms or companies that I can go to in order to get the translation done quicker?
Two referees are required when getting the Certificate of Affirmation to Marry. Do the refereees need to be at the Embassy as well? Can my parents be the referees?
Does my fiance need to be with me at the Embassy when I apply for the Certificate of Affirmation to Marry?
Any help is very much appreciated.
Thank you.

Hi all,
I know there are many posts on this. Anyway, I am curious about one thing. Does anyone know how many pages are there in the Certificate of Single Status issued by Jabatan pendaftaran Negara Malaysia? Also, is it written in Bahasa Malaysia or English?
Thank you.
Best wishes,
