I understand that the reason landlords want to do the 3+3+3 contracts are to avoid registering a commercial rental and save paying tax compared to a 10 year lease. But is it possible to set up a contract that after each set of three years the landlord can't kick you out or raise the rent to a unaffordable level? Is it possible to have a legally binding contract where the landlord must renew the lease for each of the three 3 year contracts and can only raise the rent to a pre-agreed percentage, say a 10% rise each contract?
