The Government needs to take stock in the world around us.  More and more jobs now do not require degrees, because well, a degree doesn't mean you have skills and employers understand this... also with the pandemic for 15 months now, leaves employment up and down... so putting all these restrictions to catch rich and the high class will not happen.  There are people who may want to do digital work for a short time, not permanently.  It also seems the mentality here is to get all our money lost due to the pandemic all at once... and we all know, "Rome wasn't 're-built' in a day"...  So flex the rules, bend on certain requirements, be hospitable and not demanding, then maybe people may come.   Then too we have this forcing people to take the vaccination, it has not been tested and approved 100%, just coz it seems ok, doesn't mean it will be ok... there are more downs than ups right now about it... I personally won't go and get it because of the all the bad things I've heard, yet we don't know underneath what is factual... I never had covid, and I take precautions, doesn't mean I must be forced to take it, I am sure Phuket will suffer because of the forced rules. Again flexibility while being cautious. 

If a company does this here, would the employees of the company have follow the individual  nomad rules or is the company sustained enough for them to allow their employees to work for them as they would in their home country?  Any ideas on this?

with covid-19 originating from china, this maybe able to pave the way for countries to sue for repatriations caused by the damage by the virus... so better to get repatriations than fight a terrible war. So maybe the rules opens the door for that.

This has to do with your government, none of us in the people sector see the results of these kinds... in pretty much every country, so your country is kicking you down...(or your friends). I heard that they are getting tired and are pushing for a new regime... that will be the way for them to get back up.

Yes! So many agencies have their own agenda. They tea bag directors and Head teachers with perks... they are very selfish and look to make trouble to teachers because usually the school treats the teacher good and want to keep them... then because in Thailand, many foreigners are whiny people... it becomes impossible to please them and please the school by doing your job for the school. So they are not mature business people... 

is he on a retirement visa that found that Thailand is still most desirable place to retire? 

well why does it need special attention? the 80's were the bomb... they are flooding the scene today in other movies and tv shows because they got stable from the 60's and 70's... i don't really ever remember them being as popular as some of the others, Van Halen, Alice Cooper, Ozzie, Madonna, Duran Duran.. to name a few... so "no" not worthy. But this is our opinions.. everyone has good points on yes or no's.

I think their really needs to be a separation of "foreigners"  when it points a lot to Africans, Indians, Paks... etc...  It really puts us "all" in the bad boat when these nationalities are the majority of law breakers... Kind of like saying "Asians go to America or UK soley to make money"  I've read that Indians and Paks are classified as Asians as well. but I guess the French hate "Farangs" too... and non French hate the term farangs as well...  We live in a modern world with technical words are used... can they get on the same page too?

Then this article would have understanding instead of lets put up or defenses... ok my opinion...

It would really be interesting if this country would lose the extra revenue for the overstay....  just from this calculation 0f 38,504 people here is the revenue they would lose(besides having to pay for the plane tix)

38,504 x 500 baht(1 day)=19,252,000 baht
38,504 x 20,000 baht(max fine)=770,080,000 baht

Use to be when life was easy and simple we didn't  need radical people...   but today we live in a world that is mad... Everyone wants to be #1 from countries to selfies...  Most American companies moved their service or manufacturing to other countries... so they could hire cheap labor and charge more for products...  We have a really good 'we'll take care of you policy'- welfare, social security, unemployment insurance, disability  programs.... only major western countries have that.  yet when foreigners come to USA for one, they can enjoy those programs too. He is trying to stabilize this because taxes keep going up to pay for those lazy people who don't want to work.. mostly south of the border people... because their government don't give a rats ass about their lives... so US inherits the problems.  He is the 1st president to  say 'fish or cut bait' with china, Russia and N.K.  that's why theirs change in N.K. now... remember when China didn't even roll out the red carpet for Obama? why coz he's a talker and today just talking doesn't cut it... But DT's got everyone's attention... Like Regan.  So   whether you think he is a mad man or a hero, this is our own opinion.   This is mine... I don't debate anyone's disagreement. I respect everyone's ideals... but for me yes he should get it... there has is more peace in Koreas then ever before 1950.   He challenge and he's gotten results. This topic should be re-opened and the media, such as "the Nation" should start investigating Immigration procedures and lack of communication to the foreign community... Right now, at the borders and local offices... All Foreigners are now being treated as criminals... They are ALL guilty of some law breaking matter and Fines are being uttered 1st without any investigation, without inquiry, and no listening is being heard about each case.  Immigration has now become a "Scamming Government Institution".  Fines are being levied unconventionally and with legal prejudice.  As a foreigner,  you are not allowed to say anything, as when you enter the office, it is now a prison.  Now Immigration offices have detention centers with their local offices.  Immigration Officers are not friendly or accommodating.  They make statements that will provoke angry responses.  Then their god complex allows them to show bigotry and racial bias... The motto, to have respect, must earn respect does not apply to their position.

Really doesn't need a war... just pull bags off the shelf of wholesalers, tell stores put them away or be fine... no war needed... now if you want to say, "Thailand Declared war on Plastic by making money on them" then ok, thats the plan... not the solution... go to Makro... see any bags? the one you buy and bring back... so the 'war solution' is not the answer, it will just dip deeper into our pockets... but I know when I go to Makro... I either bring my bag or I carry it out by  hand.... and if I still need a bag..then I pay 30 baht for another... but I've only done that once... and it didn't dig into my pocket.  this way thats planned will.... denial is the solution...  then 1) someone will create an environmentally safe solution and 2) it won't cost us arms and legs...

Duh, stupid is as stupid does... has anyone ever became rich in Thailand as an honest working man?  I still live on the farang teacher salary that's never been raised more than 10 years... so he's in the wrong place in this case... Somewhere around this area they had that huge van accident where nobody survived. Shows you where the least amount of traffic control seems at. 

Well I don't think it matters by land or air. Recently(this month) my friend flew to Malaysia to get a visa and came back through DMK and was denied entry because he had used up 2 visa runs, over 180 days...

My suggestion is to go to the local immigration and go through them or inquire before your visa expires so in case you run into that problem, you can prepare better than my friend who had to go back to Denmark because he was surprised.
