400k seasoned or not on child dependant visa
Maybe it’s different when a child is involved? Previous years using the 40k a month I was always in the office for about 2 hours, I think it could have also been that there was always different amounts Been transferred in to my account depending if I had been offshore working or not so they had to cross check my payslips in USD to THB to my bank statements, if I did a trip offshore for say 25 days one month and a few months later done 15 days etc, the amounts was all different So this was probably confusing for them! this year tho apart from the going back 2 times it did literally take probably 20 mins… will always be doing the banked route from now on.

400k seasoned or not on child dependant visa
Yes just to confirm I should have posted earlier. no seasoning of funds required in khon kaen, a few other things added of course from last year and it meant two 3 hour round trips to the office but all is good now. but to be fair the banked method is a lot quicker and easier than the 40k a month route that I have done for the past 7 years, before using the 40k a month route it took hours to check all documents, but today albeit apart from 2 trips it was done in I’d say 30 min max….. so on futire it’ll be the banked method every year now. thanks for everyone one’s input and especially Tod who went out his way to personally talk on the phone…. Cheers tod always helpful.

400k seasoned or not on child dependant visa
Khon kaen office. i wouldn't have been in this situation but I used the wrong bank card to take money out of my account and only for a couple of days until I noticed and I then transferred it back in…. Was never an issue when I was doing the monthly payments route, need to be on the ball more and put this card to one side so it don’t happen again. fingers crossed they don’t require seasoning but will find out tomorrow. cheers

400k seasoned or not on child dependant visa
Thanks Tod I’ve conflicting reports of my local immigration office if the funds for dependant visa need to be seasoned or not, I suppose I’ll find out tomorrow. im a single parent and have all the required docs which I normally do my extension on a yearly basis, this will be my 7th extension, so I’m normally on the ball, but this is the 1st time I went banked route, I normally used the monthly payments, and looking back now it’s a lot easier so I don’t lose track haha. Hopefully they don’t require it to be seasoned and then I’ll be laughing. and yeah I am aware it’s a 1 year extension but it’s just a habit that I call it extending my visa, along with I imagine a large % of people, but yep your correct the terminology is extension of stay! cheers by the way I tried to message you on Facebook, we have spoke there previously thru messages on a few occasions but I have a new account now so lost the ability to message you direct.

So it’s a case of going to my local immigration and finding out if they require the money to be seasoned or not. Let’s hope they don’t require it to be seasoned it’ll make things a lot easier!

400k seasoned or not on child dependant visa
Hi tod that’s great news then. so if I go to immigration this week and get the 60 day family extension, would my dependant visa renewal dates change of course cos I’ve had this 2 month extension? for example my current renewal expires on Nov 20th so after taking this extension would be new renewal date be 2 months from start of extension date? is that correct? and I still hold the current dependant visa or does that become void after nov renewal date can you clarify please? thanks

400k seasoned or not on child dependant visa
thanks for your reply. thats a pity to be honest, so if I get the 60 day visiting family visa, I would then need to start the whole process of the dependant visa from the start again, this was going be my 7th straight renewal. I’ve been reading conflicting reports, some people say that the dependant visa funds don’t have to be seasoned unlike marrriage / retirement visa, and as long as you have 400k on the day of renewal it is good! but thanks for clarifying this. Ok all I can do is go to immigration and see what they say. thanks for your help.

400k seasoned or not on child dependant visa
Hi all just after some info, im Sure I’ll get the right answer here. i have to renew my dependant visa (taking care of my Thai kid alone), does the 400k need to be seasoned like marriage and retirement renewals? I’ve been looking in to other places and contacted agents but no concrete answers, agents want ridiculous money for been under the 400k for no more than a week! i was led to believe it doesn’t have to be seasoned, you can just show 400k at the day of the renewal? can anyone else confirm this? I stupidly took money from the wrong account and was a few thousand baht or so under for a few days maybe a week until I realised, all the 400k is now back in the account. Any info on this is greatly appreciated, also any one with 1st hand knowledge on the above would be even better. thank
