  1. All I can say is WOW!! Who would ever believe that a lifetime membership in a fitness club in Thailand would go bust?

I'm still having trouble believing the 'fitness club in Thailand' bit.

My friend joined a fitness cum spa at skv area, operated by a Singaporean. It when bust after selling unbelievable packages. Moral of the story, money in pocket stays in the pocket.

    Often true.

  2. No to worry Dindong, it's the thought that counts! I think I may have seen the same pie you did and managed to get a shot. I hoped to include my beautiful house in the picture too but the pie was too high, maybe next time but whatever you do please don't say you don't like my house or I'll spit my dummy out, positive comments only laugh.png

Actually Jubby I'm a bit depressed myself today as well (definitely not due to alcohol though), I just tried to join another local forum so I could improve the lives of the disgruntled and envious members there too but it seems I'm barred from joining!!!

    Ha!

  3. For me and you GS that is the right attitude.....there are a lot if guys who have such a deep fear of rejection that they withdraw into themselves.......

Out of polite curiosity, are you surrounded by women in your own country who consider you a paragon of:

    1. masculinity

    2. desirability

    3. smoldering male sexuality.

You say that "there is a perception that every guy that turns up in Thailand is some kind of sexual wolf"

There isn't. Replace the word "wolf" with "inadequate".

All western women know the truth, by the way.

  4. Sorry seems to be the hardest word for Thai people sometimes. I can rarely get a sorry out of my Thai boyfriend, even when he knows he is/has done wrong.

I don't think it's about being emotionless I think it's all about losing face, they'd rather just forget about it and move on than linger on the problem.

Y'know, I'd probably agree with you if I didn't know for a fact that Thai girls do say sorry. If a Thai girl or woman is afraid of losing what she considers to be a genuine catch because of something she did, she will apologise profusely.

Sorry to say it but the fact that foreign guys may not hear it so much more likely illustrates - for whatever reason(s) - just how little respect their girls have for them rather than any constraints imposed by "face".

I think you'll find money also plays a part.
