  1. The OP is either blessed with accute powers of observation or cursed with a severe case of judgementall prejudice.

On the basis of the evidence pesented by expats in Thailand it is impossible to discern if the OP has been blessed or cursed.

From what I've seen so far, the expat community here in BBK is very different to those in Sing and KL.

A quick look inside the pubs/bars dotted along Sukhumwit crystalizes this assertion.

The crem de la crem is of course in Pattaya a must see for all new expats. A short taxi ride.

The social misfits are hidden up in villages and in the hills up north. These are the type of folk one needs to be very wary off.

  2. I am a ghost.

    I am a god.

    You don't believe me?

    Tell me why not.

Next I will use YOUR arguments to prove that YOU are wrongly believiing in gods, ghosts, etc.

i dont believe in you. ghost or god don't post in thaivisa

    Typical 18th century thinking!

Why would ghosts and gods not embrace the modern times media???

    Yes I am a god.

But why would I go preaching on a hill in Palestine / a slum in the US / etc?

    I am a modern god.

Not some loso TV preacher or old days prophet.

    I use Thai Visa forum.

I reach The Most Intelligent People Of The World directly.

You don't want to be doomed, do you?

Confirmation this place is full of fruit cakes.

  3. Manipulation of the masses. A brainwashed society that's fed on som tam and Lakhon. If one of the top folk came on a Television commercial break in between another mind numbingly boring soap and said everyone wear a silly hat tomorrow half the country would.

  4. I can't help but wonder what effect these two water parks, that are relatively near each other, are going to have on the water table ?

I can't imagine them paying the PROVINCIAL WATERWORKS for the massive amounts of water that is going to be required for these theme parks

Yeah this really got me pondering to, I mean what ever will happen to the water table? rolleyes.gif

  5. OK, So all the Pattaya expats will flame me but here goes. I worked in Pattaya for 6 months but couldn't wait to transfer out to Bangkok; why? The last straw was one Sunday morning, early, as I drove to get some milk, A half naked woman jumped out almost in front of the car near the Dolphin roundabout, shouting something at me I couldn't quite hear. I thought at first she was in some sort of trouble and actually slowed down, only to hear..'Hallo you want massage special handsome man?' I mean, it was about eight frickin thirty on a Sunday morning for chrissake. It is basically a brothel city and although I am sure there are some nice (good) girls there it would not be my first choice of a place to find them. There are lots of respectable expats there but it also attracts the dregs of society. There are lots of lovely, genuine Thai ladies who want nothing more than to take care of you AND you take care of them but I wouldn't be looking for them in Pattaya. Just my 2 satangs worth... good luck.

This has to be the most ridiculous reason to move out of a city because a half naked lady jumped out in front of them on Sunday morning and asked if they wanted a massage! lmfao this has to be a wind up?

  6. The laws surrounding what skills a farang may perform in Thailand are open to wide interpretation. Painting your house for example could get you in trouble because you are doing a job foreigners are forbidden to do here. However, I have not seen evidence of anyone in trouble over working on their own house.

Quite few of us have done some building projects here.

They turn a blind eye to foreigners working on their homes as they know fully well you can pay the Thais to do it but then you'll have to pay them again in 3 months time to do it again and then again in another 3 months after that.

Preparation is a f'ing joke here unless you do it yourself.
