Sir Bobby C is not a fan.oh aye, absolutely. bad decisions and reckless behaviour that resulted in him writing a 'please take me i've changed, honest' letter to united. still reckon there's senior figures at united who would block him though.
He's just a figure head and although he might have an opinion, I doubt it carries much weight with the Glaziers. They think only about revenue and not about an individuals personal opinion, therefore, they will appoint whomever they think has a chance of getting the a CL spot. The biggest loser in this is probably the loss of face to Woodward
There are 2 boards at United 1, the main one with about 5 of the Glazers on and a couple of others.
There is a second one, made up of certain figureheads, as you call them, such as Bobby Charlton, David Gill and some Scottish bloke, I forget his name.

I figure the only reason LVG has lasted this long is that he has kept United close to CL qualification. But with their recent performances and dropping in the table its likely he'll be gone soon. If the Glazers knew anything about football they'd can both LVG and Woodward. They should have cleaned house when SAF left but let him stick them with Moyes. One bad decision after another since Ferguson rode off into the sunset.just watched MOTD highlights, the crowd reaction at the end was the angriest i've ever heard united fans. van gaal is looking like a lost cause now.
With United and the Ferguson dynasty, he was so good, but he didnt do like the great Liverpools in the past and nurture the next manager, hence why they are up sh!t creek.

Put the wooden spoon down now, move away from the wooden spoon. Put the spoon down now, or we will open fire.

Glad I missed it.
I despise the booers, I despise this insipid football as much.
I cannot see where this is going if he stays. He says he won't be sacked as that will tar his record, that leaves him with walking. I can't see how his position is tenable after this and, fully expect that he should walk. In reality, his bull headedness, will see him walk at seasons end.
Rather sad that he didn't take onboard the clubs traditions, and incorporate that with his own, I firmly believe that could have been an force to be admired but, he didn't and his 'ways' are not working, but he will not change.
Good luck to him, but he's systematically tearing our traditions apart.
Patrice Evra made fantastic admissions on his history lessons about the club when he joined and, his comments made me proud. I wish LvG had made the same investments.

Hahaha, one minute everyone's looking back, while we're looking at the present and we can't win.
Now, we're not playing so well, and looking at our past achievements and every other f&£%*#r's lookin at the present.
And......, we still can't win.
Good job I've a sense of humour and I can see the irony. Again.

I can honestly say that there's nothing I envy about ManU.
I bet you wish you had history like that, and we are living very happily even with the turid rubbish we have to watch now.You forgot..."Once upon a time...and they all lived happily ever".
Good. [emoji6]

I'd give an awful lot to have them both back, under a different manager, despite your views on them.

Never wanted him at United, I'd rather stick with LvG, though at current pace, I'd love Ranieri and Vardey please. [emoji85][emoji6]

I think there's a lack of honesty in this thread, and a bit of jealousy.
After he finished playing, throughout which he never received the credit he deserved, everyone started to like him because he's a good lad. Even 'plastic scouser' Colin Murray has admitted as much.
Come one lads, I agree, if Lin wasn't around this probably wouldn't have happened, but Gary is a sound, profound and educated football man, and I bet my left <deleted> he makes a better dig of this than other 'star' names that have flattered to (Keano) deceive.
"Like me Murphy's, he's not Bitter"
If Gary was a scouser, you reds would be all over this, claiming the next second coming, again.
'Giz a break r kid eh"

All pipe dreams, as is Neymar.
Ewoo Woowar can pontificate about increased shirt sales being the highest in the world all he likes, when it comes to city life, Manchester doesn't compare, especially to players from warmer climes.
