  1. More evidence that the current "govt." should be a care taker govt. and wait for an elected body to make changes and decisions affecting the country, they are so in over their heads.

Funny, because about 20 states in the US have similar laws. When I was a student at UC Berkeley, no takeaway alcohol sales were allowed within 1 mile of campus. But, you're probably from the UK or EU where free flow is the rule. I wouldn't expect you to be worldly enough to understand that the government is following a model which has been used elsewhere in the world.

Why don't you <deleted> off back there then ?

  2. Paul Krugman wrote about the referendum in the New York Times, he a Nobel prize winning economist. He points out the huge risk Scotland will be taking in going it alone. Scotland won't be the equivalent of Canada, it will be more like Spain without the sunshine, a bankrupt country with 40% unemployment. Perhaps Argentina will be a better analogy. He finds it mind boggling that Scots would be going for this and doubts the majority understand the risks. I totally agree. Of course in the short term the GBP will be volatile, but my guess is the UK will come out a lot stronger over time and the pound will recover. I am shorting the pound, but only as a trade, to make it a bit of money as I watch it plunge. But long term, if Scotland wishes to go it alone, have no currency of their own, default on their debt, be cut out from doing business with their biggest trading counterpart by far, become estranged from their partner of 300 years, lose their subsidies, lose their disproportionate political say, then up to them. They will have forever to regret as there will be no going back. To do this so soon after the financial crisis, when forces such as China, Russia and Islamic extremism are such huge threats, when we all need union and strength in numbers, really is mind bogglingly stupid.

Totally agree. It is absolutely nuts. They are in for a bit of a shock if they vote yes. As for the £, I feel it will strengthen without them, this is just a short term blip while people such as yourself make money off the uncertainty. I wish i had shorted too, but I had no idea how damn close to a stupid Scottish decision we would come. That said, I keep half my money in USD so maybe I could switch that back to GBP if it drops a little further.

  3. It's a known date rape drug that can be cystalized in a microwave and then smoked or added to something else being smoked. Think twice before you smoke anything. Never leave a drink on a table and come back to finish it off. Never drink or smoke anything offered by a stranger or "new friend". Be aware of what might be added to cheap bucket drinks.

"Smoked"! Nobody smokes it. Trust me.

Many try, but then they realise:

    a) it doesn't work.

b ) it tastes like shit.

  4. The man stayed at our resort and I can say that the information from Swedish press is not accurate. What is true is that the person died instantly after losing control of his bike in a corner that has many accidents. The rescue worker told me it has been over 20 deaths in that corner over the years. He died instantly and he left a grieving girlfriend and brother on the island. I have read the police report and there was no sign of intoxication. I have talked to the rescue center, seen the pictures of the accident and talked to the witnesses on the location and everything verifies that's a single accident where the driver lost control in that corner, and the body flipped up on a electrical pole and killed him instantly.

There is no "corner" where he hit the lamp post. It is a straight road.
