After reinstalling Windows 7 all data on drive disappeared

I had the same issues went to photo shop at Meechok Plaza  showed guy photo requirements sizes etc ,photos taken with Canon SLR,Went into scanned and uploaded Rejected .went into CM town centre photo taken with Nikon SLR uploaded also rejected

Got someone to take my photo outside in partial shade on my mobile phone uploaded 

IT was  Accepted 

so get someone to take ur photo on mobile  worked for me 

If you check British Embassy website  you will see under notary services verification of British passport £25 plus £2 postage send original passport and tenancy agreement

Yes all sorted now visa agent 500 baht  for Embassy Letter 

Staff were quite adamant  3 different IOs   no letter no visa transfer 

i got the impression that had Not seen the new Black British passport before 

Ok So several issues have been raised here 

To renew with VFS   takes about 10 weeks Doing online passports returned within three weeks from UK

I have been living in thailand for quite a few years now and have NEVER carried my original passport with me unless planning to travel  Have checked with a lawyer and have been told as long as you carry  photocopy of you passport 

To get a verified copy of your passport you need to send your original passport  and copy of rental agreement along with £25 fee plus £2 postage 

I did get a letter to verify my new passport  with British Embassy  logo and address  but NOT from Embassy from agent 

Applied  for my new British  Passport  online (as my old one expires end of year} paid fee ,and posted my old one to Passport office in UK as required 

A few weeks later received my new Passport and old one cancelled 

Went to immigration to transfer my visa from old to new passport 

Big problems    .where is your letter from Embassy ?   why did you get a new passport ? how did you get back into Thailand.This passport looks like a COPY.again asked at least 6 times where is your letter from Embassy ???

Told them NO letter from Embassy as i applied online .and havent left country

I O said if you live in Thailand you MUST apply for new passport through your Embassy or agent in Thailand 

Took me three visits and an agent to resolve this 

So bottom line you MUST have a letter from UK Embassy to verify your passport

Can bars open  for sale of alcohol ?? or just restaurants and what times ??

Also notice several u tube videos showing bars full of customers in Pattaya

Did my marriage extension last week at Chiang Mai immigration (5th year)

3 photos selfies  one outside house showing house number  One in living room  One in Kitchen  as ive submitted  before  2photos to one A4 sheet

However  this year  for first time they also asked for a copy of my divorce papers as well never before IO said it was new rule

Do they not have good hospitals in Vietnam   instead of going to Thailand

Yeah sounds like Farang price  My wife bought land in Issan  a few years ago  over 1 Rai with Chanote  

120000 baht  inc transfer fee  so even taking inflation into account  400000 baht is excessive   try for 200 or 250  only if has Chanote otherwise worthless

You have 7 days after your arrival  to submit TM30   at immigration after being out the country

I was told that by IO   at Chiang Mai   ,and have done my  own TM30    3 or 4 days after return ,with no problem

You have 7 days to report TM30   on return to Thailand   from abroad 

This was confirmed to me by IO    at Chiang Mai  2 months ago 

So   is U Tube video   Blogging   ok   without work permit???

I have noticed more and more expats  doing regular  U Tube  video blogs about their  life in Thailand ,and most have paypal accounts for donations or Patreon     for regular donating subscribers  to their channel

I was thinking about doing this myself  ,but it seems that  as they receive  money in form of donation or subscription   this is paid work

So would I need a work permit   or is this a grey area    Advice  welcome 

So I have been  been following this post with interest 

We are still not sure why the British Embassy   are going to stop the pension letters  for immigration ,if its because they feel its too much paperwork for £50  or if it is the Thailand immigration  who insists on more proof of income .However if that is the case,and as the Immigration are cracking down on  foreigners with visas unable to support themselves

So how is it that you can still go to the Thai  Consulate  in Savvankhet  in Laos   and get a one year visa extension for retirement  or marriage   WITHOUT   any proof of income  ????  only difference  being you have to leave and re enter Thailand every 90 days    a friend of mine just returned a few days ago with his one year retirement  extension  no proof of income asked for  5000 baht fee  next day service 

Thinking about increase in price mabye better to make your own    It seems like an easy process to make cheese at home    but where can you buy        Rennet       in Chiang mai    ????????

Was at one of the Rimping supermarkets recently    they had a lot of 5 litre boxes of both South African and Australian wine all under 1000 baht  guess old stock        ,but when I  looked closer at the boxes  most of them looked blown  like both sides of box  curved as if full of air  ,would it still be drinkable or is that a sign its soured ????

I have Aussie friend in Chiang Mai    with one year O visa    went back to OZ  for 3 months   then when he went to Promenada immigration   for 90 day report later    was fined 1600 baht by officer    and told fine was because he didn't  report  to  immigration after  returning to Thailand    from Oz
